I have tried several journaling apps in the last few weeks. Journaling has been something I’ve always wanted to do and I have the best intentions, and I go find a beautiful journal at the store thinking I’m gonna fill it with all of my thoughts, and it just doesn’t happen.
With the emergence of AI it seems like things are a lot easier to do and to put in the writing. This app has made it really easy for me to jot down my thoughts because I can just talk and it does great at transcribing and I love the insights. I love the daily things for me to review they trigger me to think.
I pay for therapy every single week and some of the insights that this app has offered have been better than what my therapist has provided.
The one small thing I would really love to see from this app to make it perfect for me s for the app to speak Its responses in the chat. I’m a mom of two very young kids that works full-time so I don’t have a ton of time to journal. The best time that I have is when I’m driving to or from daycare when it’s just me in the car and my thoughts. That is the best time for me to get out what’s on my mind. But when I’m driving and I’m wanting to see what insight the chat has to spark more conversation I can’t do that. To have a hands-free option would be phenomenal for me.

I've tried a bunch of AI journaling apps, but most of them left me feeling cold. Kind of like the app was trying to fix me with some kind of psychological framework or something. But Lightpage just feels different. Warmer, friendlier, simpler, like I can express anything without it imposing unnecessary and unasked-for structure on me. Without it trying to guide me in any particular direction as if it knows better. It just feels like a blank notebook that I can put anything into - whether it's my grocery list or an emotional rant about how annoyed I am with my mom.
Also, the dictation and transcription are really, really good. Probably the best I've found so far, and now I do most of my notes with my voice. Still early days, but this app feels like something I'll use for a long time.

I’ve tried so MANY journaling apps. This app is fantastic. It shows you a work of art everyday and explains how it’s similar to your life or experience. It shows you two articles a day about things that interest you and/or relate to your current situation. It gives a quote of the day, and journal prompts. Every Sunday it writes you a letter based on your posts and/or chats. I love writing and entry and then clicking “what do you think?” Pretty much every time. It’s great to talk things out or analyze things together. Wonderful app has made a difference in my life. Highly recommend. I know this app is going to take off.
