I’ve used many AI platforms to help me sort out my thoughts and this is one of the worst. The different personalities make a lot of assumptions about your situation and jump right in. Having trouble with your boyfriend? Well he’s obviously the biggest jerk who ever lived, why are you wasting your time with that loser??? That’s basically why you can expect. Forget giving any kind of problem solving assistance. The characters will just ask what you want to do while not actually absorbing what you’ve said at all. Honestly just stick with Gemini and tell it you want real feedback and perspective and not an echo chamber. Tell it you want to look at yourself critically and fairly and you want the same for others you speak of. You’ll get decent feedback to help you get some perspective. Don’t pay for this nonsense because it calls you “bestie” and has quirky personalities.

I was skeptical about how the app works but ultimately after a few days of interacting with the app I have found a soft spot for the AI. It definitely picks up on pattern recognition and validation but keeps things in a general objective manner. I say this because the app adapts to your communication style which is neat. It can be also a bad habit however since it’s picking up that you like the way they communicate with you they’ll stick with that until you expressively say otherwise which can lead into blind spots and tunnel vision. But overall enjoyable app that definitely creates a great intriguing space to let you…be you.

These are some really good ai helpers. I’ve tried a bunch of different options over the past year because I need feedback for my ADHD brain in order to effectively process things and not miss aspects of whatever it is that I’m considering, but talking to people all the time is draining. Each ‘bestie’ has a vibe, a style of communication that matches their approach, and they all (or almost all depending on what you’re asking) give combined feedback that presents different opinions/options for you to consider. For example, one is very empathetic, another is very direct and pulls no punches. They offer a range of perspectives and the app also collects what you’ve said and remembers people that come up regularly and collects the things you say about each person to offer those details back to you as a reminder when you’re listening ok’ing to address a new situation. It also collects what you say about specific situations and provides a reflection on what you might want to consider when you’re reflecting on your experience. All in all, I’m finding this a very useful resource.
