Having an emulator to satisfy my old self from when I was much younger helps me finally put to rest all those thoughts of “I wonder what it would have been like to play that game.” I had a hand-me-down PS1 when I was younger and very few games to play but remember going to the video store and browsing the selection of games to rent and was always overwhelmed with the choices (I could only afford one 3-day rental per month). It’s been over 20 years and I still remember the feeling of that desire. When I first booted up Tomba 2 on Gamma and started playing through it, a smile curled up on my face and I felt like an old part of me had finally been satisfied. Still trying to convince myself I’m not dreaming. To all who put their time into developing this emulator: Thank you. Truly. I wish I could shake your hand(s) and look you in the eyes to thank you in person. Thank you for keeping our dreams and distant memories alive. I suppose I should mention (for those interested in using this) the ease of use as well! All the ROMs are running SO smoothly and I’m using an Elite Series Xbox controller to play. Installing games was no hassle. They even provide instruction for use when you first open the app. Download the ROM (preferably in .zip format), open the file from your downloads folder, start playing. It’s incredibly easy to use and I’m still wracking my brain over having access to something like this. So dang happy right now. 🤗

I have been using Gamma for a few months now and this app has quickly become the top used app on my iPhone/iPad! I typically refrain from writing reviews but I decided to make a special exception for this app and the developer. Everything, in my opinion, about this app runs great. The UI is clean and easy to use, the games run great, everything is very responsive with the controls, and the app is even coming out with more improvements to make the experience even better (the ability to play other media while simultaneously playing a game and having the ability to adjust the game audio to a level of your preference is such a top tier addition to this app)! The developer is also very responsive and clearly shows a desire to make the best application possible. I decided to use the application’s in-app bug report feature and the developer not only responded within hours but had the bug fixed in less than 24 hours. While I was prepared to either not hear back at all or hear back after a bit of time (I do not typically report bugs with the apps I use) I absolutely did not expect such a quick, genuine, and high quality response from the developer in such a short amount of time. In my opinion, for the quality you get with this app, the price for the pro features is well worth it to support this app and developer!

This newest update is perfect as far as psx emulation goes wixh i know thats all gamma is supposed to be but if you guys took a page out of foliums book then in the next update Gamma coulf easily mive hurds ahead of thr comoetition if you guys add MAME support then you eould be the first emulator in the appstote that boasts support for MAME arcade roms / games its going to be a racw tho because rumor is that delta is currently in the works for an uodate that eipp bring MAME and arcade support to it also there is a port of MAME4IOS called Arcade Mania And thr dev keeps puttibgbthrnappnunder review and it keeps not getting accepted but he keeps adjuating things andnworkingbon it until it gets accepted if you guys could add a MAME core and support for MAME that would be godly and gamma would leap all thenway to number 1 i garauntee it another core peeps are waiting for is dreamcast support aswell so it will be interesting to see wich app/emu drops support for MAME 1st and the Apps Retro Game Emulator And Tiny Emulator donhave support for some MAME titles (not very many) and thatw because its not mame actually its FB Neo And Alpha And Some (Very Few) MAME titles will run on FB Alpha And FB Neo so thats all that is so still no MAME in the appstore anywhere its being talked and rumored about on alot of IOS subreddits 2
