I want to preface this by saying I am absolutely paying for a year subscription as this is the most exciting thing happening in iPhone videography at the moment. That said, it needs continued updates and support. The most crucial thing is the ability to record to an external drive. This app has a serious bottleneck until that is made available. Quality of life additions like zebras and focus peaking are also on the short list. But the quality of footage being output and the tight integration with sims is very, very cool and exciting. Please keep working.

The media roll section is very lacking. First of all, saving out is counterintuitive. Most apps, no matter what, go into “select mode” when you press and hold an image. However, in this app I need to scroll all the way to the top to tap “select” if I want to export out, let’s say, my oldest photo. When you have 150+ photos, that’s a lot of scrolling to do. Or at least have the “select” button be persistent on the top of the scroll as you scroll throughz Second, you should be able to hold and drag to select images. It is very time-consuming to tap every single one of the photos. It is a must, as most apps do it everywhere in the ios ecosystem . Third, this would benefit greatly if it let you sync up with iCloud Drive, because the app itself can be a storage hog due to the file sizes. I would honestly prefer an option for the app not to keep images in the app’s own roll whenever I opt to save to the iPhone’s camera roll. That way, I don’t have the app taking up so much space. I’d rather the photos go directly and primarily to my camera roll. There has got to be a better and more efficient way to do that. The app takes too much storage due to the very unorthodox media management. Love the features, don’t mind paying for what it offers aestheticallyc but it has got to be updated in things that make it easier for users to do simple things

Absolutely infuriating. I downloaded Pearla hoping to try it out, maybe see if it offered anything unique or useful for my needs. Instead, I was immediately slapped with a paywall. No limited free version, not even a peek at the interface or basic features. You can't do anything without committing to a subscription first. This is a terrible business model for an app that's not a household name. How am I supposed to know if Pearla is worth my money if I can't even get a feel for how it works? It's like being asked to buy a car without being allowed to open the door, let alone take it for a test drive. Developers, if you're reading this: a free tier, even with significant limitations, is crucial for user acquisition and building trust. As it stands, Pearla feels less like a helpful tool and more like a greedy attempt to snag subscriptions from unsuspecting users. Deleted within 60 seconds. Hard pass.
