Sculptura 2

For a 3D sculpting application I think, Sculptura 2, is really wonderful. I like the simplicity and power of the tools and so many other great features. I’ll update my review again when I’ve spent more time with the app. But, for now, I just wanted to give my first impressions. Also, I cannot thank the developer enough for offering this powerful program for one fair price and for not using the horrible subscription nonsense. You have my immense gratitude and thanks for selling this app fairly and ethically. I truly mean that. Thank you so much. Well worth the price of $15 and I wish the App Store had more developers like you. Yours real credit to the App Store in my opinion. Thanks, again, and God bless.

This is a very substantial step forward from Sculptura 1. Really cool to have path-tracing in there though it seems like the materials could be a bit more consistent between path-tracing and not. Very nice to see the reference images (this was missing from v1, though seems like a simple feature). I’d also like to see a tool to pose a character after sculpting. The developer mentioned to me that he’s working on that.

I’ve been using Sculptura since almost the beginning and this new version is great! I use it both for relaxing moments and creating assets for projects like games and 3D printed models. I love the new features and updates, like the rendering options, the custom tools/presets, the UX overhaul is so nice! This feels like a true next step and not just a new number tacked onto mild changes. Props to the devs, I can tell a lot of work went into this and I really appreciate it!
