Among the best yet confused

Update: This, mi rack and Drambo are my top 3 Modular’s. This has a unique flair and great ui. I do have problems with the deceptive free thing. I get your point on the previous model(3) stuff is there. But it really promotes and shines when you have the the iap, which are not bundled correctly, some are close, but many of them really need to be either free( like the everything’s free title), or in proper iap collection/logical method. I bought a few iap and then I could open a demo project that needed another clock iap to show how good it “can get” . As a basic example I can only use Version 3 as then I can open those lessons or patchstorage etc. so despite my complaints I guess it’s cause I feel the argument for the new all free version really hurts this. I know you can rock it as is with no iap but then you can’t demonstrate any great patches right from the start, in that regard I feel 3 is way better. Audulus could be the best with some changes. Last thing: version 3 runs perfect and no crashes. Version 4 eats cpu and also just not solid with clock audio stutters. I know it’s because newer version is probably got ace stuff under the hood and my iPad lil old so maybe that one is on me ha. Don’t mean bad vibes though , I can stay happy with 3 and it’s still a beast.

intriguing, still studying before making my first experiment

5 Stars now! Very wild and deep experience! I just added a couple of new nodes to one of the templates to add an LFO change to one of the controls. Wow. So nodes can nest within modules that can nest within other modules. This is going to be a lot of fun. No crashes, and live patching without pops and glitches on a 2018 macbook. Good job! Earlier: Upgraded my rating to 4 after trying out each of the supplied music templates on iOS.... intriguing, am now reading the documentation about the nodes... And preparing for Mac OSX upgrade.... Update: The upgrade to OSX 13.1 went ok. Original title: Forced upgrades to OSX and iOS. Very inconvenientThis software looks really great. It forced me to do an upgrade of the iOS on my iPad, ok, no big deal, did that, now I have a bunch of new stuff to get used, hope I chose an iOS that isnt horribly buggy.... But forcing me to upgrade my Mac OX from 12.3.1, where everything is working just fine, and I know I have other software that is not compatible of an OSX upgrade, this is really no bueno of Audulus. Really not looking forward to losing other software, and all the other instability that I will likely find in the ecosystem of apps I use on my Mac, whose usage is much more series, and less tolerant of breaking things. Please in the future dont force your users to be on the bleeding edge of OS upgrades. Your software looks really great, but it is hard to imagine you could not have made your app continue to work on a prior OS like most other major software continues to do...... This whole issue of software forced OS upgrades, and the ripple instabilities and problems, is exacly why some people are devoted to hardware based music production, such as on Akai MPC's and such. A studio can stay working for years and years, with all the workflow the artists have learned, and none of the periodic "sorry the studio is down, we did an OS upgrade and now we cant read the NTFS backup volumes until we find a new software driver." ...... I will update my review after I go through this painful upgrade, it looks like you do enough cool stuff compared to my other variety of modular synth softwares, to make the pain worth it.

Patches, where are all the user patches?

I have changed my rating. Support was very helpful. It would be five stars if not for the lack of documentation. I realize this is a lot to ask of a developer but an app like this needs more comprehensive documentation. It is obviously a catch-22. I want to love this app. It’s so pretty and sounds nice. My problem is there appears to be no way to bring user patches into the AUv3 version. I don’t see a link or button. The app opens the factory patches, but not the examples I downloaded from the forum and patchstorage. Maybe I am missing something. It should be obvious in the UI, but it is not. It’s said both iPad and Mac version are available for single purchase (if I understand this right). The desktop version never connects to restore purchases. Very frustrating. Help! I want to keep this app. If I can’t bring my patches into AUv3 in AUM, there is no reason to keep it. Not interested in the limited number of factory presets. I don’t want ask for a refund. But almost $20 bucks is nothing to scoff at. Please don’t make me ask for a refund.
