Reviews: What People Think About Toggle: The Game

I’ve played this game several times over the last few days. I can definitely say that it is a challenge. I’ve always enjoyed word/puzzle games and this one is quite entertaining. Let me say, it can be very hard to find all of the words. It reminds me heavily of Boggle the way the words are matched and the 3-minute timer, but with the ability to swap/flip the word tiles around several times (indefinitely) to make new word combos. There are also longer prefixes and suffixes in comparison to Boggle.
In my mind, it is an updated, more challenging version of Boggle. There are ads in between maybe every 5 matches or so, but they were relatively short compared to most games. I’ll be curious to see this game grow. In the meantime, keep the puzzles coming!

This game is definitely challenging, unlike other classic word games, Toggle makes your brain work. I can enjoy this game for hours. If you like word games with a little challenges, this is it.

Welcome to Toggle, a game built for word lovers. The dream was to create a word puzzle game that allowed players to find long and interesting words, and we didn't settle for less.
Each game, Toggle generates a board of randomized prefixes, suffixes, and letters, and incentivizes players to mix and match the morphemes to spell the longest words possible. Through this unique morpheme-based approach, players can develop a stronger grasp of the English language, both in everyday vernacular, as well as in specialized fields like medicine, astronomy, and phenomenology. (Toggle supports over 100,000 words in its medical dictionary alone!)
For those sick of flashcards, Toggle's built-in custom game engine allows players to study morphemes by building their own puzzles. Teachers can also distribute these puzzles out to their students--all for free.
Players can compete alone, with friends, or against strangers in competitions of ten participants called "matches". Whoever scores the most points before the timer runs out wins the match. No matter what mode you play, there is always a special achievement to unlock along the way. (Can you earn the Shakespeare badge? Or are you more of a Hemingway?)
Toggle also offers a unique TSR points system, similar to ELO in chess. As a player improves, their Toggle Star Rating rises, and so does their position on the leaderboard.
