It’s 2026, how can a health or fat loss app not have Apple health integration? This essentially makes it useless. Such a baseline feature to have.
What I like the most about Hava is that it doesn’t just nag me about calories, it actually trains me to think in “satiety per calorie”. Giving a simple 0 to 100 score makes it super easy to understand, and focusing on eating foods that score above 50 has made weight loss feel effortless. It’s such a simple and brilliant idea. I just take a picture of my food, and the app gives me the score and feedback.
Tracking your food intake, whether for diet or other health-related reasons, is a commitment. Most apps make it a chore, either with cumbersome databases of millions of options that may not apply, or having to painstakingly measure and weigh portions to get the right macros. Not Hava. Hava makes it simple. Their AI-powered photo capture feature allows a user to simply take a picture of what they are about to eat, and calculates portion sizes and macros in a blink of an eye. And for 95% of the time, the result is bang-on accurate. Some adjustments have to made from time to time, but it’s really trivial. Other features like 7 and 30 day tracking is also helpful to see where you are as you progress. But most of all, this app is laser focussed on satiety. The ‘bias’ of this app is to incent you to move toward consumption of food that keeps you full, longer. This means that you consume more protein-rich foods, and far less refined carbohydrates. It results in a good balance, as you’re not restricted in what you eat; eat what you want, really, just ensure that it has a higher Satiety Per Calorie (SPC) score. I’d encourage everyone who is trying to lose some weight, perform better or just eat a better diet to give this a try. You’ll be very happy with how easy it really is.
