I downloaded the app this morning and immediately did 5 raids for Diwali Pikachu. The procedure is easy. You can watch an ad for one credit, or buy ten for .99US. Then you click to join a raid, someone sends a friend request, you accept, and the raid invite comes in a few minutes. You still have to pay for remote passes, that’s separate.
I tried to do more raids on my baby account, but forgot the time change meant no more raids at that time. I was automatically refunded my credits. That’s impressive!
This app is easy and so much faster than others I’ve used.

So based on the negative reviews I was concerned I'd waste my remote raid passes. While I'm not sure if they are bot accounts or not, I did get Tauros blaze and aqua back to back no issues. I applied to raid, got friend invite then raid invite and everything went without issue. May be that others legitimately got gipped but at least for me, it wasn't the case.
