This app needs an update. Not sure it’s keeping up with the places Daniel Vaughn has reviewed recently. Texas Monthly should also consider creating a Taco Finder based on José R. Ralat reviews
If you love Texas BBQ, you know Texas Monthly is a trusted voice in this ever-evolving, fast-moving food scene. This app is great for finding that smoked meat goodness, Texas style, when you travel. My favorite feature is probably the built-in, region-specific guides with maps that use GPS from your phone to get you close. I took off 1 star because they want a subscription to submit written reviews. With Yelp and TripAdvisor you only need an account to submit written reviews, so I’m confused as to why TM thinks users should pay for that opportunity.
Wow. I had this app back when it first came out, and all of the missing features have been added. You can save your favorites, map out plans to chow down, and see other users’ ratings. Love it.
