Atmosphere Trivia

Trivia junky who plays at a local spot every week. Saw this at another place & gave it a chance. Was hopeful but it’s amateur at best. When you get past a TON of technical glitches, there are still wrong answers & grammatical errors. Zero time to breathe or enjoy your beer between questions or while you’re answering. Also zero fun explanations of each answer. Definitely the only person in the bar who was playing on my phone. Very much a novelty, much like ChiveTV. Fun GIF transitions but they repeated frequently in the hour I played. Not worth paying for if they ever charge you for it.

I’ve done geeks who drink and other trivia night sorts of things and generally have a good time. This app, more or less, gives you a similar experience but with some novel twists and gameplay mechanics. Downside is, it seems you need to first go to a place with an Atmosphere TV. I am excited to see where this goes! Edit: Looks like you can play on the go now and don’t need to be at a venue!

Not only did this app allow me to engage with friends at our local bar- playing trivia against each other- but also gives me something to do when I’m bored at home! They offer money games pretty regularly now. All in all having a really fun time with this app in venue and at home.
