Netvue Next

This camera and app is horrible. MY BABY HAS FALLEN OFF OF THE BED TWICE DESPITE MOVEMENT & CRY ALERTS BEING ON and I’m extremely upset!!! How on earth can a baby roll over, sit up, look around, and crawl off of the bed and it doesn’t pick up anything but the exact crawling off moment and cry alert after the fact??? There’s a whole 5 min gap of no activity during the time she did all that. This started out by randomly disconnecting. Once, I wasn’t able to see anything or log in for like a week. Then it started not sending notifications when it should, like when someone walked in the room or I knew the kids were up. Thank goodness for the times I checked the camera myself and the baby was up. I do not trust this camera and would never recommend this to anyone and have already purchased a different camera. Thankfully my baby isn’t seriously hurt or I’d sue this company.

Recently I started being unable to access my Orb cameras feed remotely. When I’m on WiFi they load immediately in the app, but when I am at work I get “Error loading”. Netvue service tells me to reboot cameras and router which I already did, but have no fix beyond that. They asked me to download the new Netvue app too and enable precise location for whatever reason. Since nothing has changed on my end, the issue must be on Netvue end but they do not take responsibility. The new Netvue Next app is cluttered and not user friendly. Instead of taking me to the list of cameras it takes me to a cluttered screen and now I have to take an extra step to get to the camera feed. There is a saying “Don’t fix it if it ain’t broken”. Netvue should concentrate their productive energy on ensuring the service works well rather than on redesigning the app that everyone has gotten used to and adding questionable “improvements”

The Netvue Next app is not as good as the previous version. This version will pickup motion when a vehicle goes by and then label random objects as human or pets. It is not reliable , so I don’t even check it when I get notifications. For instance, a car went by and it notified me that a human was here. Turns out the human was a bird feeder. It will also just send notifications of motion and label my car that is parked. The previous version was a lot more accurate. I like the features on this app but the AI needs more work. I’m tired of the notifications for meaningless stationary objects. Please work on the AI. I pay for 2 subscriptions including AI and it is no longer worth it.
