if i can deter one person from getting a mobi cam as their baby monitor, this review will be worth my time. going to start by saying we have wonderful internet. but the app crashes randomly, so if your baby starts crying in the middle of the night while you’re asleep, you won’t hear them crying. makes for an entirely restless night because your anxiety will have you waking up every 5 minutes to make sure the camera is still working. also if you want to check in on your baby, you’ll likely have to refresh the app 10 times before it’ll actually load the camera. so when you THINK you hear your baby fussing and you want to check the camera before going in their room, your baby will stir themselves awake enough to not go back to sleep before the camera even loads. also the “detected baby crying” notification is not trustworthy as it almost never sends me the notification when my baby is actually crying. usually only when one of his toys is making noise. been using it for 6 months now and can firmly say there are better options out there. i’m about to get a $20 audio monitor and it will be more trustworthy than the mobi cam

It worked okay for the first month that I had my ENT Otoscope. By “okay” I mean I would usually only have to close out of the app 1 or 2 times for it to show the video, which is already too many times to have to close out of an app to get it to work. However, for the last week I’ve had issues every time I open the app and spend upwards of 3-5 minutes trying to get the video function to work. Today is the first time I’ve ever left a 1 star review because I have been trying to get the video to pull up all day. I struggled with it for about 10 minutes this morning and gave up for a few hours, came back and did the same thing… nothing. I am back trying to get the video to show for a 3rd time and it’s just a black screen. I’ve tried forgetting the Otoscope from my device list and reconnecting it, restarted my wifi and have gotten out of the app/ shut off the device MULTIPLE times and it is still not working. The device itself doesn’t seem to give me issues… seems more like an app issue. Wish this would be fixed so I can use my otoscope.

We searched for something to be able to keep an eye on our 96 year old father-in-law in my case ... who live alone and still drives, cooks, walks the neighborhood and is self sufficient. My wife is an only child so we move across the street to live with him without living with him. We have a motor coach and travel but this Mobicam gives us peace of mind and we know he is up and about and can monitor him from anywhere we travel to! He is a WWII, Korea, and Vietnam Air Force hero and is the reason we speak English and not German or Japanese! This keeps him from needing to go to an old folks home and allows us to still travel. We do have backup when we are away but this saves us from full time care which pays for this product. This is an awesome invention and we could even hear him call out for help with this device. We got a great deal at Sam’s Club with 3 cameras for $99!
