Quantum Squad: Sci-Fi Tactics

This has a lot of things going for it but it’s extremely buggy right now. I’ve hard locked the game multiple times, sometimes just from navigating the menus. I’m at a point now where I can’t progress because the game will lock up before the end of the mission. This could easily be fixed by having save points, or just fixing the problem,but the game doesn’t even have a pause button. There’s just so many bugs in general that make it frustrating to play. It’s a shame because the actual gameplay is fun, but in its current state it needs a lot of work. *Updated review* The crashing seems to have been resolved so I feel this deserves another star. There is still a lot of questionable design decisions. Blueprints for gear you get for free most notably. The UI is super clunky for dealing with mods and gear. Still even with these flaws I will still give it 4 stars, since it’s leagues better than most phone games out there.

As title says: I really like the game concept but controlling units feels very clunky. Constantly misclickimg areas and not always clicking the rght unit. Sometimes I try to tap for units to move somewhere and my viewed screem goes totally to a separate area of the map. -somehow this could be better optimized, especially for phones. I’m guessing by iPads it’s a bit better. -also reduce animation load times (like unit deployment animation). It feels too long.

In the Green Winds group, mission two, it seems bugged. The last wave of enemies never arrives? It says to defend, but nothing ever comes, as the mission never ends. Great game so far, if a bit buggy. Though I do fail to understand why on god’s green earth I would ever want to produce the basic equipment. Maybe make it use parts to upgrade them? Making stuff you get for free doesn’t make all that much sense.
