I start with Caroline Girvan’s YT with my wife in April 2025 by September the resulting body composition was clearly showing signs of defining our muscles. We enjoyed her non verbal approach to coaching, seeing her perform the exercises with us and seeing the effects on her face of joy and some discomfort when the weights get heavy or the reps go long, was just inspiring. So much so we both bought this CGX app. We liked the idea of working out with the CGX group at the same time CG releases new content. We enjoy the news and information on health and fitness. I like that I can switch up the music in app to my own , and the CGX app consistently connects when home on WiFi. Downloading for when we vacation like we just did for our cruise helps us stay on track and disciplined. I’m happy with the current update July 2026. It corrected some start up bugs I had on my phone as well as a freeze when connecting to HDMI on our TV. 1.3 years in and I can hardly wait for our next CGX new release this fall. Let’s Go!
I stumbled on Caroline a few years ago and made the decision to invest in her app for my well-being. Caroline’s workouts have proven more effective than any gym membership. And I used to be a gym rat, training at various gyms for years on end. You can’t deny the results when you follow Caroline’s programs, and (don’t tell anyone), I still get great results without giving up my favorite foods. Every workout is me against my own abilities. And I challenge myself to step it up by improving my form, increasing my weights, squatting lower, not taking a rest, or whatever changes I decide to make based on how I’m feeling in the moment. I have repeated programs and there’s nothing “easy” or “same” about the workouts. I’m pleased with the compliments received from friends, coworkers and family. My results far exceed any gym machine or personal gym trainer. Caroline is a rockstar with a genuine, authentic, and knowledgable approach to weightlifting. And she surrounded herself with a team of experts to develop a meaningful, quality workout app that’s affordable. My health is worth the investment. Plus, I put the money saved from a gym membership into a bench and some dumbbells and haven’t looked back since. To add icing to the cake, I have reached out a few times to their customer service for assistance, and I was met with very prompt and friendly responses each time … and a solution for my challenges. If it’s time for you to move your fitness goals forward, whether you’re a seasoned lifter or a beginner, you don’t want to miss out on a proven successful regiment. Get this app. I wish you great success on your fitness journey. I know mine will remain with CGX.
I have used apps here and there in the past with varied success, mostly due to my own commitment. And now after getting serious in my 30s about sticking to a healthy lifestyle and fitness journey, this app has become a perfect tool for me. It’s not too busy which I love. I did have some issues with the app initially when I tried to add a program to the calendar. It was very frustrating. I ended up having to one by one delete the scheduled workouts (50 days worth) which was a pain. But after just abandoning that method and just playing the workout within the program I’m following when I’m ready to workout, I have had a great experiences. It has very solid workout as well as other resources that those who are new to a healthy lifestyle may find useful. Some of the articles could be better streamlined, as they can be a bit wordy, but for me personally they are not the reason I use the app. It’s been so easy to stay consistent and see gains without the burden of planning my own workout routines. The rotations through the major muscle groups, periodic HIIT/cardio focused days and so on are perfect. I can’t overstate how effective it’s been for me to just get myself to the gym and press play.
