I’m not a happy chappy since this is gone over from Hermes. I’ve had nothing but trouble with this company on and off since they took over. Unfortunately when things are being delivered to you, you have no control over what courier they use most of the time I have been waiting on a parcel that should’ve arrived here on the 31st of July 2024 never arrived had a hell of a time contacting this company to try and get it sorted as all it said on the app was the driver had an issue getting to your address. Will notify you on the app of the next working day. It will be delivered then all of a sudden it popped up with a triangle! Saying there was a delay in delivery that they would contact on next working day when it was being delivered this is now being seven days since it failed to deliver I have raised an issue over it and it was promised to be delivered on the 6th of August 2024 arrived I contacted the chat team and spoke to virtual agent and all I got was practically the same message I did when I first chased it. I have no second parcel that is saying exactly the same that there has been a delay and we will be in contact on the next working day when your parcel is available for delivery. This is not good enough this is poor management and the drivers are just too lazy, to come in my street. I had been dealing with Hermes that this company took over from for about nine years and never had any problems. This company is a big embarrassment.
I was supposed to receive my ‘next day delivery’ parcel on Wednesday with stuff I needed for my holiday, leaving on Saturday. I got an email that I need to take actions as the courier ‘could find my address’. I then trying to contact you in the hopes that the parcel will be delivered on Thursday - nothing. Friday comes - nothing. I have instructions by recording a voice note and also sent multiple messages to you ‘live’ chat which is anything but live as I only get to speak to a chat bot. I’ve given clear instructions with which a 2 year old would find the address and I’ve also provided my phone number and said the driver can call me when there. According to the chat, someone was going to look into this and get back within 24 hours. It’s been more than that - still nothing. I’ve tried so many times to ask to speak to an advisor using both the chat and the telephone number with no luck. How can you work with people and offer any kind of service without giving your customers a chance to contact you??? I then, being desperate as I’m going away tomorrow, decided to go their local depot with the hopes that I can just speak to an actual person. Google says it’s open until 8pm, I got there at 7pm. Closed. I then had to pay for a taxi home as the depot was so far away from and my holiday is ruined already before it even started. It’s disgusting and I can’t believe that after so many other negative reviews no action is taken. I’m fuming!
I love the Evri service. I’ve found it to be reliable and there’s a parcel shop 100m from my house. However, the app is a real pain to navigate when sending a parcel. I would recommend the following changes, in priority order: • When selecting the address for delivery, the address book page appears. However, when you’ve sent more than a few parcels, the page fills up and is not scrollable. I have an iPhone 13 mini and I can’t see any option to add a new address, so I always have to select an existing (incorrect) address and edit it on the final confirmation page. • When making payment, it doesn’t save my card details or allow them to auto-fill, meaning I have to go and find my physical card every time. This is very out of step with other, similar apps. • When I’ve made payment, I get a pop up saying payment has failed but it’s over a page saying payment is successful. If I didn’t receive a confirmation email I’d be very confused. • If I have provided details of my home address in “My Places”, why would you not assume that this is also my return address for the purpose of sending a parcel? Or at least give me the option of selecting “Home”? Having to enter my address a second time was annoying.
