I really like this app. After not riding a bike for more than 40 years, I’ve logged almost 300 miles in just two months. I love how the app shows my route and provides me with valuable data. The one feature that would be extremely helpful when charging is to be notified when the battery 100%. Thank you!
I rarely write a review for an app I either enjoy and appreciate it and market through word of mouth to everyone I come across as the go to tech person in my world. Or I find a work around, deal with, or pray for an update for anything I have an issue with. In this case it’s prayer. The literal ONLY 2 things I can ask for at this point for my own personal use it to Please Please PLEASE!!!!! give us a VERTICAL/PORTRAIT orientation mode for the ride screen that shows all the ride info it’s such a beautiful designed UI with the color of the infor corresponding to what assist mode your in. However not only do I prefer to have my phone in portrait mode when riding but the way my gear is set up on my handle bars there’s no room to put my phone in landscape. Please add this feature ASAP. And if at all also possible allow some of that info to be mirrored to the Apple Watch (not just the heart rate). I have the ultra 2 🙏🏽
So far Bosch has done an excellent job bringing all the features cyclist look for into one app, it essentially will turn your phone into a cockpit interface. The app gives you great on screen navigation by searching locations, similar to a car navigation app. You are able to integrate your Komoot account to plan custom rides as well. The app will automatically upload your rides to Strava as well. All of the essential cycling metrics are available in real time, speed, cadence, time, distance, heart rate, elevation, there is even a power meter etc. I really really like what Bosch have done with the Flow app. Hopefully they are still actively developing. There are still some improvements I would really like to see: Although the app shows your heart rate data from your Apple Watch in real time, that data is never saved with your ride’s data. I’ve seen other reviews mentioning this but I thought I would reiterate it because of how deciding have that feature is for many cyclist. Once you start a ride I see no way to cancel it without saving the data. Because the Flow app uploads your rides to other sources upon completion this means you have to delete a ride that never happened from different locations. When a ride is finished I noticed it is somehow tripling the move data sent to Apple Health. I’m not sure if that’s because I have Flow integrated with Apple Health, Strava, and Komoot. If so it would be nice to see that corrected.
