GIANT Rx

I had been a long time customer of Rite Aid, even before I moved from CA to PA, and for the most part I didn’t have too many problems. I’m of the mindset you don’t yell at the pharmacist, nor the shop clerks. They don’t have any control over what is going on. I know, that after Covid, it really affected how everything was done. So I did not mind waiting. I did not mind having to come back a few times because they kept forgetting to refill a prescription but in the last six months before I changed from Rite Aid the Pharmacy was so badly handled. People will generally forgive a lot if they’re kept in the loop and know what’s happening, but when they never pick up the phone or answered an email, yesterday made the situation so much worse. Since I couldn’t get answers you would literally have to go to the store to find out that they were closed and it was not set what time of day they would open. Somehow they even were closed for a week. Sometimes they were closed in the morning and it just got frustrating. I know that they are having a hard time getting Pharmacist. I do blame management because obviously I don’t think they were paying enough and they were over expanded. Of course that’s just my opinion. But I did ask one of my nurses what pharmacy would you recommend because I’m having so much trouble. The first one they said was Giant Pharmacy. The Dr’s office was in Harrisburg but I went to the Giant closes to me on Cumberland Parkway. They are the nicest people. They answer the phone, they call you back and they don’t have a problem with you asking questions or getting a prescription at the last minute. Their follow up/customer service is fantastic. My husband appreciates that because he is the one who normally has to go once or twice a week to pick up prescriptions because they never land on the same day. I could actually go to Carlisle Army Clinic and get them without charge to me but they aren’t open in weekends nor Federal holidays. I would recommend Giant Pharmacy to anyone especially the one that I deal with store #6120 Cumberland Parkway.

So many pharmacies seem to have numb employees that don’t have any compassion for you or how you feel ie; sick, in pain or whatver symptoms that ail you, could even be your insurance (ugh)…THIS GIANT PHARMACY IS A MUST IF…you’re looking for a pharmacy that truly CARES, willing to put YOUR BEST INTEREST FIRST and show it with staff that make you feel welcome and that you do matter, regardless of what you are dealing with. The concern, efficiency, knowledge and communication is top notch. Thanks Giant Rx A very special thank you to Charles and Savannah. You both are so personable and genuine. I sure hope you both know how much you’re appreciated…just by being you and choosing to be in this field. You both are willing to do everything you can to help us without ever making us feel like a nuisance…such a rare and beautiful find these days. So many blessings to you :)

Gene and All the Ladies at The Pharmacy are all such amazing individuals. They are ALL so very caring and DEDICATED to My Medical Health. They always go above and beyond to make sure that I am ok and always try their Hardest to always make sure my medication is in stock. When you are fighting an illness that has NO CURE and it is just spreading throughout your entire body until it has nowhere else to spread the last thing you want to worry about is being in pain and feeling it eat you apart. Gene and the other young ladies NEVER EVER made me feel less then. Because of the pain medication I have to take for My Sicknesses I’ve been looked at and talked to by Different Pharmacies like I was a drug addict, a drug seeker and all the other VERY nasty and VERY hurtful things those Pharmacies have done to me in front of other customer’s. I’ve walked out on so many occasions crying my eyes out and feeling like a Burden of my own illnesses. Gene and the younger girls there at Giant have taken the time to CARE and UNDERSTAND my sicknesses. I felt the need to tell them about My illnesses because I was so use to being treated so poorly by my previous pharmacy. Even though Gene and the young ladies never asked me, never doubted me and never made me feel horrible for taking the medication I have to take I still felt the need to explain my illnesses all because of someone else. So Thank you Gene and Thank you to ALL the young ladies whom work at Giant Pharmacy in Ephrata for always going above and beyond for me. I’ve been with y’all for over a year now and I will NEVER EVER go to another Pharmacy for as long as the good lord lets me live. God Bless you all. Sincerely Helen T
