I’ve been purchasing through SW for roughly 10 years now. I’ve had the privilege of traveling to their store in Fort Wayne, and dealing with employees and customers alike. It’s an absolutely astonishing community of fantastic people who appreciate and love music in their own ways. Not only did they make the experience of picking an instrument incredibly easy but they also did not rest until they were sure I was happy. I grew up loving and using guitar center locally but I can’t justify supporting them over Sweetwater. Any issues I’ve ever had with instrument condition (from factory not sw fault) Sweetwater corrected immediately with zero hesitation. 11/10 group.
I have purchased TONS of gear from Sweetwater and the service has been second to none. I recently had a new guy “Peppe” assigned to my account and he called me to “check up on me” and that’s cool as I always need strings or have a weak cable in my gear bag. Peppe hadn’t done any research on my account and didn’t realize I’ve bought 32 axes, amps, road cases etc and pretty much talked to me like a first time customer. Charles was familiar with my rigs, what I was doing at the time (either studio or gigging) and asked appropriate questions about my gear and helped keep me up and running. Peppe told me he was busy when I had questions about some locking tuners. I’m still here so I’m giving them another shot, but when I spend that kind of money with loyalty to one company I expect more. Pull it together Peppe, I do expect those special deals
After spending $thousands with Guitar Center over a period of decades, I left GC altogether in 2020. I had dabbled with a few purchases from Sweetwater prior to this decision but after a few dealings with Drew, I made the decision to never spend my money anywhere besides Sweetwater. You have always over-delivered. I have always received exactly what I needed, and have always been properly guided by Drew’s input. He is knowledgeable and passionate about all things musical. I trust him to a fault. I have also recommended family as well as friends that also enjoy playing music to Sweetwater (and told them to seek out Drew). Y’all are an asset to the music community. Great job!
