ELLO!!! So I have a acoustic guitar and hopefully an electric for Christmas 🎄, but I first downloaded Yousician and my dad saw that this one had better reviews so we got this one and it taught wayyy better ngl, and it actually let me do a whole lesson before paying and it taught a good amount, so then my dad got me the premium bc I love ❤️ music 🎶 a lot and I want it to be in my job one day, so I am already doing the paths and am learning the F major Chord right now and it’s a hard Chord but I love learning new chords. My only complaint is that u have to have the family plan to connect simply sing and piano, but that’s okay bc after I finish simply guitar 🎸 ima get simply sing 🎤 and then simply piano 🎹 I love this app so much it’s really good bc instead of having lessons I can get lessons on this app any time I want bc I have school 🏫 and theatre 🎭 and my math teacher 👨🏫 gives me too much homework 📚 so this app lets me do guitar 🎸 when I have the time to, I wanna start a band soon but idk how but ima try, I have some friends that play drums and flute and one who also plays guitar and piano so maybe I can try to start a band with them, but yea. Thank you 😊 simply guitar 🎸 for helping me start my guitar journey 💙❤️💙❤️🎶💙❤️💙❤️ - Aether🎶💙🎸❤️🎶🎸💙🎶🎸❤️🎶
I get apps are trying to make money but i really wanna practice and ill never get better if these apps keep making a premium option the only way to truely learn when i become a musician i may plan to make a counter option to this that will be a completely free music app im not mad about it tho i feel rather dissapointed as i have no one really to teach me im slowly starting to lose hope that ill become an actual musician due to these apps tbh when you have to subscribe just to learn guitar fully it feels as if dreams are being crushed its like its advertised to be so friendly only to hit you with a subscription just to learn the rest once you start learning a bit im sorry to be rude about this its just i really wanna learn guitar but there seems to be no real free option that’ll actually teach me everything i got a guitar ive asked my mom to teach me plenty of times but she wont help me learn so i literally have a guitar rn that i cant use since im not able to get enough skills outta the free options ill end off the review at least suggesting an idea maybe give people with non premium accs more access to some lessons dont just leave em off after basics give them a bit more to learn off of more songs more lessons what ever you guys see fit give us more variety rather then teaching us a small amount :) itll help alot more people more and make them happy and trust be happiness and helping others is better than money
I decided fairly quickly to give this app a go above others to aid me in finally learning to play guitar and I’m so happy I did. I was immediately draw in: it is fun, helpful, challenging but no so much so that I want to give up. I’ve been playing for a few weeks now and just got to the D chord section. I love that with almost every lesson you get a song or two to practice either a chord or strumming pattern or what have you. It has a feature where it listens to you play and offers correction and here lies the flaw: it often seems to be incorrect in its detection of whether you’re playing a chord correctly or not. This can be amazingly frustrating. But as you see I’m still giving this app 5 stars as this isn’t a deterrent for me. Other people have mentioned the cost and no it’s not cheap! I splurged on this app because I think it’ll be worth it. My gf has played guitar for years and years and she’s impressed with this app and the progress I’ve made. I even asked if she thinks I should add in person lessons at some point and she said the app seems adequate! I don’t know how many more lessons are left but I’m hoping to learn as much as I can and so far, the cost of the app is cheaper than real guitar lessons and I’m very happy and having fun as I go. Recommended.
Update: I got this to work, I’m not sure how I just did it again so maybe the 30th times a charm? But this app is amazing. The lessons are very engaging and I love the way that you can get instant feedback by just playing. This really helps me to see what I’m doing wrong and fix it I really love is that aspect of the app but everything else is amazing too. One idea/thing I wish you guys could change would be to have more videos because now it seems like I’m just practicing the notes. The videos are really fun and I would like more. Also it would be fun if you guys could have different ability levels for songs like you could search a song and select your ability level for some songs and it would change what you need to play for the song so you can play more songs when you’re still a beginner. Other than that this is amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn guitar. OK, let me just start by saying that this app is completely and perfectly fine except for one thing. The lessons and recording seems engaging and fun and I feel like I’m learning a lot but I subscribed and it’s not unlocking any of the things that it said it would unlock. I’ve tried deleting the app and re-download it, I’ve tried checking my profile, I’ve tried doing it over and over again. Nothing works and I’m really frustrated because I paid all this money for this and now it’s not working. Please somebody tell me how to fix this or I’m deleting this for good. I’ll learn some other way because I’m not gonna put up with an app that won’t give me my full money’s worth.
I have tried everything to learn the guitar but I just couldn’t get passed my E,Em and Am cords! When I heard about SimplyPiano and what it did for my friends I wished that I had one for my guitar. When I saw an ad for SimplyGuitar I downloaded it immediately. I was so happy that I could play for more than ten minutes a day and that it would actually listen to me. When I got to the E cord I was excited to finally get passed the E,Em and Am cords for the first time in years, but every time I played the E it would say I was wrong when I knew I was right because that was one of the few cords I could actually play! To be honest I was kinda frustrated with myself and thought it was something I was doing wrong or I was tone deaf. I decided to go back to my other app and play E. It said I did it perfectly. I love this app and I want to continue to use it but I can’t if I can’t get passed this lesson. Other than this detail I believe this app is amazing and is the best way of learning guitar that I have tried. You really have ability to change the game for so many more people than than the people that reach out to you. You guys are really amazing at what you do and I can’t wait for you to make more apps in the future.
