Juice and Toya are truly passionate about what they do, and it shows. This app has been artfully put together to provide a world of options for working on fitness and strength. I’ve been using the app for 7 weeks now. I started with the 4 week Summer Ready ‘24 challenge and am now doing the 6 week Dumbbell challenge. I was already fairly fit and healthy before, but using J&T’s app has helped me step it up where I have been feeling stronger, leaner, sleeping better, and fitting into my clothes better! I love the impressive menu of different workout options on this app, and the challenges are well thought out programs. I also appreciate how they’ve balanced these with mobility and stretching videos and supportive info regarding diet and motivation etc. The progress tracking and logging features are great to have, though I am personally yet to explore using those. J&T are also great at responding to the messages. I have a feeling I’ll be using their app long term.
It’s a a great app and has helped me to get back in good shape. I would love to give 5 stars, especially to the creators making the most of the platform (Magnus for example). The only issue is with the app support. The built in help request either doesn’t work or the devs don’t respond. Sent numerous requests for help over months period and no reply. (Where should I get these btw app, email?) Much to like otherwise, there is an amazing amount of quality content from excellent trainers in this app. The trainers put a lot of effort into providing a variety of workouts and there’s something for everyone among this app. It would be great if finding the right content was easier, especially as gyms are closed and many of us are using home gyms or building it up slowly. Not all of the trainers are consistent w what’s needed for their programs and it would actually be nice if I could enter a general list of equipment I have and be provided recommended programs (as do a couple competing apps). Also, journaling your progress w reps / weight will have to be outside the app as it’s not built in. I realize this all is more about the training content but would be great to be all in one and track your progress. A great app for content that is very good overall for training.
I’ve tried a lot of workout apps and this is the best one if you have a gym but don’t know what to do (like me.) It’s the closest to having a personal trainer without the price tag. It’s laid out well, the trainers are really good and I even messaged one on Instagram with a question and they responded. I only have two areas I think it could be improved: My gym, and I assume a lot of people’s gyms, can be very busy. From what I’ve seen most of these workouts are set up for supersets, or two different workouts on different equipment back to back with a rest in between. That’s just not possible in my gym where if I left my dumbbells or cable machine for a second someone would take it. So I wish there were alternate versions addressing this issue. What I’ve done is just do all the exercises with, say, dumbbells, back to back, etc even though it’s not the structure of their program. The other issue I have is there doesn’t seem to be a tracking feature, tracking what weights I started with and throughout. This would be a good optional feature. Otherwise it’s a really well thought out app and I highly recommend it.
