I’ve been using this app for some time now as it was difficult for me to get to local pharmacies during the day to pick up my prescriptions. Initially it was great with no issues but sadly service has gotten worse and worse. It has ranged from medicines not being dispatched or delivered when it should have been and in some cases not turning up at all (one of my medications is for a heart condition so it’s kind of important!) which has left me in a difficult position twice of not having my necessary medication when it is urgently needed, the app not updating the status of the order so you don’t know if they’ve processed it or it’s with the gp etc, on 3 occasions they’ve refused to process my order because their system has somehow lost the details of my pre payment certificate meaning I have to keep sending them a copy despite it being valid for a year, and a general lack of support when things do go wrong - you can’t actually speak to anybody and it often takes them ages to reply to the chat function. Overall I think it may be time to change and try one of the other many providers
I’ve tried using this app twice, and twice it’s been a terrible experience. I gave my prescription in over a week before I needed it, I was asking throughout the week if I would receive my medication when I needed it. I was told I would. It comes to the day I needed my medication, and lo and behold, no medication arrived! It was sent off the MORNING I said I needed it for. Their excuse? They said they were extremely busy that week. If you you have a business where you’re claiming it’s easier for people to use, prove it. I chose to use this because I’m a carer for my dad, so I find it difficult to get out, but this has been FAR more stressful then going to a pharmacy has EVER been. I spent hours on phones with various doctors and pharmacy’s only to find out the advice the ‘professional’ gave me was utter crap! For someone who’s medication is various incredibly strong anti-depressants and anti anxiety medication, you would have thought they would try not to cause hassle for me, but after spending hours on phones to people (and being on the brink of tears, because, you know, anxiety) I’ve finally been able to get an emergency prescription that will last me until my medication FINALLY arrives, with absolutely 0 help from Well. My advice? Stick to a physical pharmacy.
I was worried about the app because of the previous reviews, specifically because I had set it up at the same time as I sorted a prescription out with my doctor and needed those meds within 3 days. The app took over within the first day and had my meds delivered 2 days after that, even though I was fully expecting it to take a little longer than it did. Was very quick and easy to set it all up, and very convenient not having to wait around in a pharmacy for the meds! I will say that the customer service on the app leaves a little to be desired, as it recommends contacting them if you need meds urgently, yet it’ll take them 2+ days to answer anyway so by then you’ll have figured it out yourself. Could be a little more helpful. Overall though, so long as you don’t set this app up during a time that you’re in desperate need of your meds (ie, a day before you run out) then I can’t see an issue. Highly recommend for repeat prescriptions.
