I see lot of improvement by Star team. Most of the concerns I generally had are being taken care now. The StarQuick shopping experience is improving and getting reliable now. Below was my earlier feedback: I regularly use the app, app is good. Also no issue with payment. But after the order is placed, many times complete order is not delivered. And delivery time is not specific, it can be between 11:00am to 7:00pm, mostly the order delivered is late noon, so we cannot get/expect fresh non-veg for lunch time consumption. We keep the dinner light, so we consume the non-veg next day, means we don’t get to eat fresh. While delivery mostly some of the vegetables and non-veg are not delivered. That is a very frustrating experience. We place the order generally 2 days in advance, and still the veg/non-veg items are not delivered/available. Other bad part is we don’t get the product unavailability information till last minute, this is kept as surprise to the customers, and we get informed by delivery person. These points makes the online shopping experience not trustworthy. You have to understand we pay somewhat higher price for the products while online purchase, the only reason is reliability. Why don’t Star Quick team keep the product available, when we have placed order 2 days prior?? Other point, Why can’t Star Quick team take care to at least inform the customer of product unavailability before hand, at the morning, so that we customers can make alternate arrangement of the required products??

There is a story to be told about consumer friendly approach , of the store called star india bazar. On 31st May we approached star india store at satellite for our annual purchase of Wheat and tur daal. Earlier they used to deliver at home after bulk purchase , now to promote starquik app they deliver through the application only. With help of store manager Mr Mehboob i installed the app and ordered as per his instructions and guidance , to my surprise they were allowing only 2 bags of 30 kg wheat which was allowed to avoid ordering by retailers for which i opposed and informed him that you must allow customers to purchase in bulk as people of Gujarat store such items in bulk for the entire year. After reaching home i just checked the order status and to my surprise they cancelled my wheat order. Because of which i cancelled entire order as in smaller SKU placing order was very costly. I received phone from store manager asking reason i informed that you cancelled part order so now if i have place the order again i will be forced to pay delivery charges twice which is not good so cancelled it. He must have taken up the matter with management because of which next day i was able to place larger qty orders in single try and today the same was delivered ! Such quick action by managers and updation in system will take this user friendly application far ahead in today’s competitive world . A satisfied customer will bring lot more to the fold . The overall experience is great. It’s true that sometimes a few items are not available which is an issue they need to address. However such items are relatively less in number. As per their FAQ you can reach out to customer service if you don’t want the refund in your wallet. (Strangely I got a refund to my card directly this time. Need to see if this will continue) If they can address these two issues and upgrade their iPhone app they should be fine. Another plus would be giving customers the option to add an item to the order within an hour of placing it but I am not sure if that would affect the delivery timelines. These are the reasons for reducing a star but they are minor issues in my view. Speaking of pros, the prices of items are pretty reasonable if you compare with a Bigbasket or other regular supermarkets. Product quality is also good which I hope will continue given that TATA has come to be synonymous with trust over the years for Indians. And I am not even referring to Sampann which is a premium brand. The items which are available loose such as rice, dal, atta are pretty good and value for money.
