I’m actually suprised at how good this game is. I especially enjoy the unique physical movement of each characters during the fight. The artstyle are also really clean and fun to look at. However raising xp for characters is so hard and there are no (permanent) ingame shop with ingame currency that lets u buy those fishes , meatball or squid to instantly raise xp and power up. And here’s another case… i got a lot of those in the beginning but i spent it for some bronze characters that their level reached 30. But after i evolved one of my fav character to silver… they are back to lvl 1!!! Did i just wasted all those resources for nothing and have to rebuild this character again?! Her power was alrd 600ish and now it’s back to 100ish. There’s also a daily mission to get those resources but it’s just really hard to pass for early players, 3 on 3 n their powers are mostly 1000ish each. Also the gacha rate is kinda sad- i haven’t got gold characters at all, not to mention any diamonds. I was fine with that tho since u can just evolve your fav babies, it’s just when i thought of raising and finally evolving one of my silvers to Gold or even diamonds but then had to start over grinding from lvl 1 again….. So i think i’ll drop this game, but it’s really enjoyable game nonetheles and i feel the passion through this game, so i think it’s worth to be recomended and still 5 stars, goodluck!.
SkullGirls is very clearly a passion project and I love it. The animation, the music, the gameplay, and structure of the game is wonderful, and I’ve definitely put a lot of time into this game in the past few months I’ve been playing! And unlike other mobile games, SGM only requires that you spend some time playing rather than spend actual currency to make progress in the game, which is actually really nice and makes it far from being pay-to-win! The developers clearly put so much time, care, and attention into this game and have created something so beautiful and fun. However, if you’re planning on getting into SGM or you’re a parent of a kid who plays/wants to play, I highly recommend turning the chat function off. While the game could be arguably rated 12+, the chat is absolutely not. There are countless people that use the chat function not to ask for advice or discuss gameplay, but to spew a LOT of inappropriate things. Whether it’s about underaged children or graphic adult drawings of characters from the game— or even just straight-up hate speech— the developers just don’t seem to care what goes on in their game chat. I can usually ignore this and move on as an adult, but what bothers me is that this game is rated 12+, so I really do think this is a massively inappropriate problem to have. But again, bravo to the developers for creating such a masterpiece; I just hope they can make the chat more of a safe and comfortable experience.
I was very surprised of how well made and great this game is. The controls are simple but yet effective. The gameplay is good for beginners but you will need practice to be good. (Personally love that game design). The design of the graphically is AMAZING to say the least. It’s runs very smoothly (around 60-80 FPS witch is unheard of in mobile) the graphics and game art style is AMAZING. The character roster is really really great with characters for every different play style. And I love how that added a competitive mode with all of the characters unlocked and all moves unlocked. But Man I wish mobile would let us the skin of the character you own in competitive, like it would still be competitive but it would let me use my other big band costumes but only the skin not the stats, like an ult in smash bros or other fighting games or like in 2nd encore we’re they let you use a skin, and I want it because I want to show people cool looking characters and stuff but I don’t like playing free for all because not only people with characters that have the power level advantage would win 90% of the time, but the good thing is you can show off the cool characters. So if the game devs are reading this please add a feature we’re we can use the character costumes in competitive. This game is really really worth a download and playing and I’m only asking for one thing and that is to let us use our character costumes in competitive.
