I like how this game works, it’s the most different rhythm game I’ve played. Only one issue. Not sure if it’s just my device or if this is a game issue, but most the time the notes do not match the songs beat and/or rhythm. The Kaede character in training advises you play while listening, but whenever I hit right on the beat the taps were noted as late. I would consider the fact that its just me with horrible rhythm and timing, but I’m struggling to settle on that thought being a musican, disc jockey and a big fan of rhythm games. Setting the “fast” and “slow” mods depending on the song has helped, though. It hasn’t completely ruined the game for me. The scanner playstyle has been a challenge since its new to me, which makes the game more fun, and makes full combos even more exciting.
Cytus 2 is probably my favorite game to play on my phone. The reason I like it is because the tap registration is great L. I was hoping for this to be the exact same or at least very similar. But no the tap reg is some of the worse in any rhythm game app. Since this is free it’s fine but if it costed any money at all just go with cytus 2 plus it’s only 2 dollars (not including dlc characters). Get this if you really and I mean really wanna play custom songs because the community is so small and that half the maps on here are straight up impossible. Make a system where the creator has to beat the map to upload it just like super Mario maker 2. And don’t get me started on how bad it is if I don’t know if hit a note or not. Do it like Paul how it says “Perfect” or “Awesome”.
I heard of this a while ago, but didn’t get around to getting it til now. I wish I had installed it earlier! I love it so much. The game is aesthetically pleasing, overall, the music is very good, and you can find beat maps for many songs in the community tab. Even if you can’t find one for a song you like, you can make your own! The characters in it are well designed, and it’s super fun to play. Coming from someone who plays many rhythm games, the timing in this game is very good on the tutorial and official levels, and even in most of the community ones. Thanks to the developer for making this game
