I got a text from my sister informing me that she’d run across an image of me and details about my profile on instagram reel. I was a bit shocked. They also took the time to post an incorrect age range which made the Instagram mob have a field day. The post had a ridiculous amount of likes and comments mostly negative. And of course this was without my knowledge and had been up for over a month before I knew anything about it. Also for those in the United States this is mostly a foreign dating app. I would get messages routinely from Africa Philippines etc. I began to believe that most of the site was bots and the entire site was a scam so I’d quit checking it. After the social post I requested account deletion and deleted the account. I did send a message to the admins saying I’d wait before going scorched earth but when I sent the message I didn’t get a message saying email received and when I hit delete account and logged me out immediately with no confirmation of deletion. Unfortunately Adventist dating apps and sites have been less than ideal and I’ve slowly begun to realize that most of it feels like bots. My hope is they will delete the reel and that’ll be the end of it. But in my opinion posting someone’s dating profile to social media without informing this is a breach of privacy that’s just unacceptable.
So first off thank you for having an Adventist dating app. However, this app is quite terrible. Very few pertinent get to know someone questions. Their algorithms are basically 93% for all. Let’s get some more interactive questions and base compatibility on them or on something please. Also if you are not sure you want to spend money on this app the basic version is extremely limited in that you can only search and chat a handful of times prior to being locked out. At which point you are expected to pay... fine, but pay for what exactly? I don’t know compared to more main stream dating apps this one is really really not great. The only great thing about this app is that it is made for Adventist’s, and does specify dietary habits which those two obstacles alone are huge to navigate on other dating apps.
I opened account yesterday. Was locked down twice in 3hrs. Over changing my age desire to 30-58. I didn’t realize it WAS 16-58. It was overlooked by me but I got locked out for increasing my age parameters to older. Changed settings to my state and been locked out for 6hrs awaiting approval. AGAIN today. good grief. Note to self don’t change anything. If allowed I’m back.
