I am (or used to be) a chronic migraineur. I have been trying to track headaches for at least 20 years and have tried numerous apps, including apps designed by doctorโs offices for their patientsโ use. NONE of them beats this app. You can fill in your data quickly, giving as much or as little detail as you want. Itโs easy to look back at individual headaches if desired, but my favorite feature is the charts! It is fabulous for me to be able to see clear data showing a decrease in attacks, or in frequency of medication. And if things are going in the wrong direction, thatโs all there to print or screenshot and share with your doc. Also, this app is well supported and updated frequently. I have recorded migraine attacks for 3.5 years, and all that data is still there! Love it!
In the monthly evolution charts, The number of โHeadache Daysโ and โOnly Aura Daysโ are represented by two different colors in the same bar of a bar graph but there is not enough info to figure out the actual numbers of โheadache daysโ and โonly aura daysโ individually, only the combined number of both. The same exact thing goes for โHeadache attacksโ and โOnly Auraโ represented by two different colors in the single bar on the graph without any indication of what the individual numbers are. There also isnโt a clear definition for the difference between โheadache attacksโ and โheadache days.โ It DOES offer the most detailed symptom and trigger and pain level options and includes more aura options than other apps I have used. There are so many screens with questions on them that do not apply to me, that I wish that I could further personalize the questions to entirely remove parts of it (like the entire menstural cycle page and the medication assumptions as neither apply to me as i take prophylactic meds as opposed to abortive meds) and I always record at the beginning of a migraine or aura so it is really difficult to get past all these screens and questions that are entirely irrelevant when I am in the middle of an aura or migraine during which I am least likely to be completely cognizant or even be able to see due to visual aura.
To the consumer: if you are needing to track and log your headaches or migraines, THIS is sooooooooo worth it! I recommend buying the full version. It breaks down and beautifully displays all of the pertinent information you and your doctor need to gain some insight into your condition to help you. It's the least painful part of a painful process! It's amazing! You can even add all of your medications, triggers, precursor symptoms and symptoms, rate your pain and select specifically where on each log. You also so can enter multiple logs a day since migraines and headaches wain so much! You can also go back and edit the log as needed and if you are suffering so bad of a migraine that it's difficult to enter the info, you can select in your profile settings to have it default to skip to summary so your entry is very minimal. You can choose if you'd like it to work with your Apple health to log your sleep which has been helpful for me (is shown visually in the calendar & graphs). It has graphs, charts, visual calendars and analyzes it all for you & your doctor. You just share it. DEVELOPERS: Thank you so much for creating this and setting it up the way you did! It is genuinely helping people and is the best migraine, aura, headache tracker I've used! The one thing that I don't understand and feel needs further explanation or improvement is the documents page & it's compatibility with other document apps like Dropbox, etc. I would love to upload specific test results (personally that would be specifically helpful for my doctor) but all it allows me to do is select the type a test and enter the date and whatever name I want. It doesn't allow me to add any of the actual documents. It tells me I can add them but it doesn't tell me how and this is problematic. It also limits me to 3 total which I don't think is enough or fair given that I paid $4 for the app. Can you please improve this on the next update or can you publish more information publicly regarding how to use this portion of your app please? If so, it would help people like me and our doctors very much. Thanks again for such a wonderful app that assists real people with dehabilatating medical issues that gives us data and insight on what is happening to us!
