My doctor approved the ABCD1 genetic cheek swab for ALD as my 61 year old sister was recently hospitalized for motor ailments in her legs. My niece is a carrier and so are three of her children, two of the boys have to undergo MRIs for ALD. Why is Tru Doc telling me the test is available in Dubai and Sharjah but not Fujairah???it’s cheek swab that is mailed to the lab in the USA. My Dr. Samara at Al Sharq has already approved. Daman tells me they will approve, it just needs to come through Tru Doc. I have sent the medical report to Daman, Tru Doc and Dr. Samara showing my my family member is carrying the genetic marker.
