I can truly say this app has gave me an opportunity to promote myself as a social media influencer and earn some money. Really you don’t need 10,000 followers (currently 1.3K) or more to use this app, all you need is great engagement. You also need to be savvy, as some people will not provide good business to you no matter where you are, but that is the brands fault. If you know how to navigate online business transactions and collaborations, and you know how to make social media contact, this is really a great way to earn income doing something you already doing - Especially if you have a following.
I don’t normally do this but I sent an email to Insense prior, where I received a response that was not helpful or action driven. I was really excited about trying this app in the beginning. I automatically noticed how confusing all the information was in comparison to other apps. I still decided to give it a chance. I started my first campaign with a company that insisted on paying me lower than their budget mentioned (likely because I am an influencer of color, it happens to us a lot unfortunately) against my better judgment I took the job on to get my first campaign on the site completed. When I received the product I followed the directions and had a strange allergic reaction. I explained this to the brand and still gave them a video. They decided not to pay me for my time. I had a second campaign opportunity through a different brand, they were challenging to work with. When I sent over my content for approval they loved it and asked for additional content but never mentioned anything additional about payment. I drew the line here. I really do not like the fact that brands can get your content and not pay you. It’s wrong, the process needs to change. I am deleting my account.
Found this app after being served an Instagram ad for it. When you sign up for the app, it has you create a price for your sponsored posts. It's never clear what types of posts this is for. After blindly putting in a price before you know what opportunities it applies to, the app gives you a lowball suggestion indicative of what theses "opportunities" will end up paying. You still don't know what opportunities this price applies to at this point. Once in the app, there may be one or two poorly written opportunities for sponsored posts that are riddled with fragments and spelling errors. A 3-day countdown starts as soon as you see these. This countdown will spark numerous push notifications and seemingly urgent emails about how you're missing out on these brand collaboration opportunities that aren't even clear enough to understand what you would actually be posting. Last, I'm unable to delete or deactivate my account. If you try and log in to the company's website using your login, you are immediately directed to the Russian link for the app in the iTunes store. The FAQ's are unhelpful and feel like they have been translated to English from another language. After several unanswered emails to fix this, I'm very unhappy with my experience with Insense. I'll be blocking the email address for these email blasts and removing the app from my phone.
