We are just finishing up a fantastic week at Dreams Sapphire. All week we had excellent service from Mardo, Sergio and Moises at the Seaside Grill, Dyana Victor and Jenry at the Indigo Club rooftop, Francisco and Leonardo at the Rendevouz bar, and Denisse and Fabio from the Unlimited Vacation Club team. Denisse, Herbert and Alex from UVC also went out of their way to help us stay an extra day and get treatment for our daughters (10yr) high fever and nausea that caused us to miss our flight. We were really worried and they took care of everything. We can’t wait to come back and would recommend it highly. Thank you to everyone at Dreams for making this long awaited and overdue vacation so special.

Paraiso de la Bonita was once a rare treasure of a resort, now diminished to a pretty good but not exceptional chain property since purchased by Hyatt. Having stayed at this resort 6-7 times over more than 10 years, I can see immediately that the Zoetry brand of “Unlimited Rewards” no longer applies, evident in many ways: room service no longer 24hrs, food portions much smaller, stingy with ingredients, special food requests not really welcome and often not honored, towels aging and rough, daily treats in the room no longer. The daily rates are managed to attract full capacity with chain-seeking guests, with extremely high charges for spa services, wine. The most noticeable change is the reduction in staff, resulting in an inevitable decline in service. We waited 15minutes to be seated for breakfast at 9:45am, not because there were no tables, but because there was not sufficient staff to provide adequate service to guests. Breakfast can take up to 2 hours, with repeated requests for water, salt and pepper. Food is good but no longer remarkable, reflecting many tiny changes in quantity and quality designed to save the chain a few pennies where possible. The staff members are still many of the same wonderful, welcoming, beautifully friendly people, but with the noticeable reduction in staff are unable to give the same relaxed attention to guests. It’s a good resort in a beautiful beach location, but no longer so special, and in need of a costly re-fresh of dated facilities.

The app is helpful but not as informative as it could be. The night it rained changes were made but the information in the app was not properly updated. Another chain has access to concierge 24/7 via the app. It is so convenient not having to call or leave the pool or your activity to ask a question or make a request. If this app has that feature, I cannot find it. There should also be better descriptions of events and a daily schedule that includes everything for quick and easy access. I packed for Roman nights but if it was available this week, I could not tell when and where. If it was cancelled, the app should have stated that as well. Breakfast ordering. I could not figure out how to order 1 omelette with cheese, mushrooms, and spinach. Instead I received 3 omelettes. This should be easier to order the ingredients I want in one omelette. There are great desserts here but the app did not have selections for desserts with my dinner or drink options. I loved the comment section which allowed me to clarify my orders and add options that were not provided.
