I’m never quick to make the digital transition to things life but I was optimistic about this one. Turns out my optimism was misguided. This app is very fussy and glitchy when trying to report a harvest. I tried 3 times to report and finally got it on the fourth try, although I’m not sure how. I just kept pressing my finger all over the screen to submit responses. Very frustrating and it’s too bad. The process from what I can see has a lot of promise when it comes to simplifying things. But the glitches and hang-ups are very frustrating.

Every app will have glitches and problems. Everyone has had their favorite game glitch out and disappear. This however was a bad idea. NYS is trying to force people to go digital - and do away with back tags. The result will be an increase in poaching, negative interactions between hunters and wildlife officers (due to glitches - which this app has plenty of), and general frustration. Digital ID from a bad app = major L. Do yourself a favor - print your license to PDF and save it on your phone (since that’s how they’re checking) and print a hard copy. This app is a coin toss on if it wants to work. Don’t risk it.

This app is seriously the most useless app I’ve had. It hardly ever actually works. Some of the features it says it has, aren’t there. It glitches ALL THE TIME. My biggest issue is trying to switch users between me and my 2 sons. My sons are 12 and 14 and when I registered them at 11, I used my email address and their name. This app is on my phone and won’t allow me to switch between users with the same email address. I rarely delete apps, but I’ve been trying to use this since the beginning, and it’s just not worth the frustration. I have other things in life for that.
