GET Mobile ID

I had this app up and running for almost two years, but now when I try to open it it immediately crashes. I tried using it in several places like DABS and the airport and was greeted with blank stares. I actually walked up to a Sandy City police officer that was parked in the same lot as me and asked him if he would accept this if he had pulled me over. Again blank stare. I explained the part about how the legislature had authorized it and he was nice enough to take a look at the app and plug in my data into his computer and see my info come up. He reluctantly said he would probably accept this as valid ID. Then he asked me if I was comfortable unlocking my phone and handing it to law enforcement and letting them sit in their car with it while I waited in mine. It made me think. I’ve got nothing to hide, but I don’t unlock my phone and hand it anyone except maybe family and very close friends.

Basically does what it says will do. Takes your drivers license and puts it on your phone. I haven’t had reason yet to get it out for a policeman, but I figure they’ll accept it. One note, if you run a VPN, you’ll need to turn it off before accessing the app.

This app is super convenient and easy to set up with my drivers license and the easy to following with the prompts. It would be nice if there was a way to add my ID to my digital wallet, that way it would be available without having to unlock and go to the app. The Apple Watch feature is really nice with the QR codes popping up easy for scan with just one button touch.
