FirstMobile App

As a customer in the diaspora, I have struggled for years with the FirstMobile app because I do not have a First Bank ATM card. On several occasions, I downloaded the app, attempted to register, became frustrated by the ATM card requirement, and eventually deleted it. Recently, I decided to give the app another try, hoping the registration process had improved. I was pleasantly surprised to see that First Bank now allows customers to register using their BVN, which is a great improvement and shows that the bank is considering the needs of customers who may not have access to an ATM card. Unfortunately, my excitement was short-lived. Although I was able to proceed with the BVN registration process, I repeatedly encountered errors at the final stage and was unable to complete my registration. After several attempts, I still could not gain access to the app. I appreciate the effort First Bank has made in introducing alternative registration methods, but the implementation needs improvement. If customers can successfully complete registration using BVN, especially those of us in the diaspora, it would greatly enhance the user experience and accessibility of the app. I hope the technical issues are addressed soon because this update has the potential to make banking much more convenient for many customers. There’s nothing wrong in doing an update to your app to enhance the use of the app but what is a big problem is the option you guys gave to access the app. I haven’t used my ATM card in years because I use my mobile app to do transactions like transferring money, and checking my account activities. You guys supposed to give us another option on how to log , for instance using our emails that we used when we open account or log back in using our mobile app login. If I can’t have access to my account, tell me of what benefit is this your update because it’s not making sense to me being logged out of my mobile app just because you did an update. I’m not even in Nigeria now tell me what I’m supposed to do now . If this issue cannot be resolved that means any time I’m in Nigeria, I have to look for another bank to be banking with. And all the people that I introduced to first bank I will let them know this problem so that they can find another better bank to be banking with . This is really frustrating.

The update is OK but you guys supposed to allow another means of login apart from atm card I lost my atm card last two weeks now and now that I want to login to my mobile bank app I can't just because I don't have atm and for me to get another atm it will take some times cause where I am is a rural area where there's no bank. I don't really like using USSD cause it too frustrating for me You guys should try to reconsider and do another update that will allow use to login with our mobile number or email please
