When I first signed up for emergency notification services Thru my local county sheriffs office, the service was fantastic! I would get notifications about arrests and possible trouble close to my home. This included traffic issues within the county. There were settings, easy to use, where you don’t have to contact a person with a PhD in computer science to adjust times of some emergency alerts-an imminent tornado warning, for example, would still sound, but a traffic accident 30 miles away would be silenced during times when everyone is in bed. But it COULD be left on if you are an Uber driver working midnights. Now all I get is traffic alerts. No lost dogs or notice of home invasions around the corner. And even then, on my way home last week a major intersection close to my home -an intersection that is the obvious route home-was totally closed with fire trucks and police cars & I had to go 15 miles out of my way to get around it But tonight, a little after 2 am, I was notified that there is a traffic accident on the other side of the county. I forgot to turn the sound off on my phone before I went to bed. It is the only way to control it! But then if I have a family emergency, I don’t hear the phone ring with no sound. I wish the county would go back to the old way! I could easily control sound then & got better notifications!!!!!

Was sent here by my county health department to register for alerts on CV19 vaccine distribution. I wasn’t told that I must download an app. The registration process is dismal, and NEVER was confirmed as being completed. I did every single thing that was asked of me, only to find that when I agreed to accept their terms of use (after acct/login info was entered), there was no further action of ANY kind available. The end results are just another ten minutes of my life wasted, another useless app loaded on my phone, my email info in the wind with a failed app developer, and now I’m another day further from inoculation (my wife is in a high risk category, and already inoculated). At one point, I was able to determine from a map, that there is something health related which is happening approximately 1300 miles away, but I don’t know what it might be. The county is probably going to regret sending me here when their offices open tomorrow morning. This was supposed to be a simple registration for vaccine availability alerts. Before the maker replies to this review with “you did it wrong”, I want to know where their help was when I was struggling to set this up! If setup help is available at all, it is obscure.

This was originally recommended as an emergency warning system. It has my location (exact address). It has a loud warning signal when a message is sent. All good so far. In the approximately 3 years that I’ve had it I’ve received several alerts that didn’t pertain to me. I received an immediate evacuation alert at 2am that was a mistake, fortunately my wife called to verify the accuracy of the alert. Now, along with emergency alerts I have started getting warnings. Last night I was woken at 10:20pm with a warning that rain was detected and could result in a debris flow. Then at 10:50pm I was awoken agin to receive the same warning in Spanish. I don’t speak Spanish. It wasn’t even rainy at the time that I received this “emergency” warning. This possible debris flow had been discussed on the local news for two days thus I didn’t need to be woken twice on a week night with this information. I don’t understand why they can’t send the warning in English and Spanish at the same time. I will be cancelling this service and don’t recommend it.
