ENDALGO: Sports & Activities

I was really excited to try this app because I thought it would be a great way to find local pickup games for sports I enjoy like volleyball and tennis. Unfortunately, the experience has been really disappointing. The app is overwhelmingly dominated by soccer. While that's great if you're a soccer player, it offers very little for anyone interested in other sports. Another major issue is the lack of availability. Even when I try to search for games, most of the results are either completely empty or located absurdly far away — like in Nevada — even though I’m in Illinois and the app claims the maximum search distance is 50 miles. That makes it pretty much useless unless you’re willing to road trip for a casual game, which defeats the whole purpose of a local pickup app. This app has potential, but right now it feels too limited and heavily skewed toward one sport. I hope they broaden their offerings and fix the distance accuracy, because the idea is great — the execution just isn’t there yet.

I really like the concentrated effort to organize futbol events in one center. A couple things that I find iffy with the app: - marking notifications as read. I’m the kind that doesn’t like to see notifications on my phone, and it’s frustrating when even after checking the button to denote you’ve read all notifications, you close the app and still see notifications. - messaging/chats. This feature isn’t seamless in my opinion. I feel private conversations with people should be consolidated. However, I find that I have multiple chat boxes with the same persons. -character limit when leaving comments. I guess the idea is to encourage brevity but the character limit when leaving comments is also kinda annoying. Otherwise, love the idea. Hopefully the bugs that causes frequent crashes and logging out of the app have been addressed.

i just signed up and logged in to see what the app is about. although i don't play for any teams i still think i can use this app to find pickup games and make friends on/offline. i created a pickup game around my home and waiting to see if anybody joins. if i do maybe i'll start a team of my own. great idea and news for sports fanatics. i hope it adds more features in the future to make something out of it.
