I’ve tried a bunch of calorie tracking apps and usually quit after a week because logging food is so annoying. With this I just take a photo and it analyzes the meal. It’s not always perfect but it’s close enough and way faster than typing everything. *The AI food scan is actually impressive* Didn’t expect much but the scan feature works surprisingly well. I scanned a plate with chicken, rice and vegetables and it recognized almost everything. Definitely easier than manually searching foods. *Very different app, unique diet approach* I love the approach of the EatBetter to diet and daily nutrition. Really like the concept of just snapping a photo to log meals. Sometimes the portions are a bit off but editing them is quick. Still way less friction than traditional food logging apps. *Makes tracking way easier* I hate food logging but this app makes it manageable. Taking a picture feels much less like “tracking” than typing every ingredient. Interface is also really clean. *Actually motivates me to eat better* I like seeing the breakdown of nutrients after scanning a meal. Sometimes it tells you what’s missing which makes you rethink what you’re eating. *Super fast compared to other apps* The analysis only takes a few seconds which surprised me. I expected a long wait. Makes it easy to quickly check meals during the day. *Much simpler than MyFitnessPal* Used MyFitnessPal for years but searching the food database every time got exhausting. This is way more convenient if you just want a rough idea of your nutrition. *Promising AI nutrition app* Not perfect yet but the idea is really strong. If the food recognition keeps improving this could easily become the best nutrition tracker out there. Like it says, Eat Better, NOT Perfect.
I have been using this app for 3 months. I was initially skeptical about this app, especially since I’ve tried several food tracking apps in the past that had frustratingly complicated logging processes. However, this one is surprisingly easy to use. If you provide a clear description such as the exact grams of meat or sweet potato it gives a highly accurate estimate. While the calorie count might sometimes be on the lower side, it still provides a solid baseline and helps build awareness of your daily intake. What makes it even more convenient is the photo feature. Even if you’re unsure about the ingredients in your meal, the app still offers a reasonable estimate. The more you use it, the better you get at understanding portion sizes and calorie tracking. I also found the “Ask Coach” feature particularly helpful. You can simply input a list of ingredients and request meal suggestions based on specific dietary preferences, like vegetarian or carnivore diets. The app provides well thought out meal plans and recipes, which I found useful. Overall, this app simplifies food tracking and offers valuable guidance, making it a great tool for anyone looking to manage their nutrition more effectively.
10/10 app that helps track my food intake and my health. Helps keep me organized during busy life to track my long term progress on losing weight. Creating a date “goal” during the tutorial is also a great feature to always have something to look forward to and remember your long term goals and targets
