I bought this app a month ago for $9.99 because I wanted the full experience without dealing with subscriptions. Opened it today to find that everything I paid for is now labeled “basic,” my videos have a watermark slapped on them, and the actual features are locked behind a recurring premium subscription. So I paid premium price for what is now the free tier. That’s not an update — that’s a bait and switch. Charging customers upfront and then degrading their app to push them into a subscription is not okay. Would not recommend until existing paid users are grandfathered into the full version they already paid for.
Honest review! This is a very nice app. I love how clear it is. I love love love the dual lenses recording so amazing. Big bonus that it’s black owned and created by a content creator. The only thing I wish is that you could choose it to film portrait for both lenses. I’d like short form and long form to be equally good quality. The quality isn’t the greatest for the camera that isn’t the main. Which ever way you’re holding the phone will be the main camera that uses portrait. I’d love to be able to film in cinematic as well. Over all I love everything else this saves so much time and effort. Because I prefer long form I hold my phone horizontally I don’t mind if shorts doesn’t get the best quality. I also don’t like that you’re timed on recording depending on quality you choose. High quality you only get 1h 1m. The app cost $10 I should be able to record how ever long I need but still a great app just definitely need updates fast
The dual shot feature is a game changer — being able to record from both the front and back camera at the same time opens up so many creative possibilities, especially for interviews, behind-the-scenes content, reaction videos, and storytelling. The app is very easy to use, and the interface is clean and straightforward, so you don’t have to waste time trying to figure things out. The video quality is solid, the audio records clearly, and the dual camera layout makes content look professional without needing extra equipment. What really makes this app stand out is how practical it is for creators, vloggers, filmmakers, and anyone who wants to capture both sides of a moment at the same time. It turns a regular phone into a mini production setup.
The DualShot Recorder App saves you time by eliminating reshoots. Record vertical and horizontal video in one take. Shoot once, get both formats saved...
