This is NOT run by the official developers of the original Spirit Pledge. It’s run by a completely unaffiliated group of unrelated individuals who have “borrowed” all of the assets from the original Spirit Pledge. As far as anyone has been able to dig, none of these guys are connected to Kadokawa, Hot Games Studio, or anyone connected to the franchise. Meaning: it does not support the franchise. There’s already proof of them using AI in their advertising as well, which adds to the suspicions people have been having about this. Put politely, it’s shady. And even if you can ignore that massive elephant in the room, looking at the gameplay: it hasn’t fixed anything. Since it’s a near exact replica of Spirit Pledge, it has the same quality issues the original had with no attempt to fix them. If they had at least tried their own spin on it to fix the flawed game mechanics that was in the original Spirit Pledge then MAYBE it could’ve had a crumb of reason to exist and worth defending it’s sus origins. But no, it’s not. And thus there is 0 reason to recommend it. Absolutely avoid.
As much as I love Date a Live, I just dont think i could recommend this. I have little faith in this since the previous one (Spirit Pledge) was shut down. Whenever i booted up this one, it basically seems like the same game as the previous one. If thats the case, I doubt this will last very long and that my time could be wasted. Also, there are a lot of other gacha games that I like way more (Wuwa, ZZZ, Nikke) and those play better as games. If you really like the date a live series, I would probably just play the ones on steam.
This game may have been re-re-released multiple times but y’all gotta give this game a chance at its second reboot, the reviews just opened and I’m giving it a 5 star off the bat because it ain’t bad yet give it a chance it’s in its release stage after all at the time of this review.
