Update: I just found where you can locate the lesson status in a list at first you have to open a lesson and then go to the hamburger / three line menu to get to it. Just put that on the homepage for each course instead! The content on here is great, so it is unfair to the content providers to make it so hard to use. When you go back to a course, you cannot see where you are from the lesson listing! It’s actually ridiculous to have to tap into each lesson and scroll all the way to the bottom to see if the button says “Mark has complete” or “mark as incomplete”. Can’t you just literally make it say whether the lesson is complete from the course page? I am currently doing a year long course and the lessons are just in chronological order. So the further I go into this year the longer I’m going to have to scroll each time, I want to get to a new lesson! You should just be showing me the next lesson at the top of the page. Very close to deleting.
I got the app hoping their daily inspiration messages would be housed there, but they’re not! Just the courses, which doesn’t make a ton of sense because I’m not going to interact with the app just to go looking for courses to take. I’m much more likely to open the app to read the daily inspiration, which could potentially lead to taking a course. I hope they add the daily inspiration soon so I don’t have to go to my email for it
The app has various problems. For instance there is no way to tell how far you are in a course, except to load a lesson, and then see what lesson you actually wanted. Note: lessons are not cached: they need to be loaded over the internet every time, and this can be very slow. Regularly I have to abort a load and retry. When you’re doing a course, there seems to be no way to make the video full screen, so you’re looking at a fraction of your phone screen, and then of course the instructor only takes up a fraction of that. About the courses. They are (for as far as I’ve seen) very chatty. Nice to go through once, but not great to use as a long time routine. And about that chatting: instructors (for the physical courses) use tons of technical terms for muscles and so, without even pointing at what those muscles are, so I have absolutely no clue what the exercises are targeting.
