I enjoyed the few hours I played of it, but I found myself very frustrated trying to figure out the pet system, what they did, and how to even use them. Maybe I’m just stupid and couldn’t find the info anywhere in game, in which case I’ll more than happily change my review. Having a new mechanic unlocked with no explanation of said mechanic lead to me losing interest pretty rapidly since I couldn’t figure out what I was supposed to do apart from hit the fight button and use my crops feeding it. The basic gameplay loop of planting and harvesting was satisfying, I just wish the game made it easier to understand what the whole deal with the pets was

it’s a very nice game, it’s slow and methodical throughout so it doesn’t ever really feel monotonous there are some bits i don’t like or don’t understand, but all the complex parts of this game are near completely optional and don’t take anything out of the experience no ads is real, iap are completely optional, a true example of how indie games can excel at sincere and wholly pleasant user experience

While the concept is interesting, progression is an absolute nightmare. Goosters are essentially a coin flip when it comes to exploration. Mine is at level 9 and I’d say it has about a 55% chance of beating a level 4 enemy with much lower stats than mine. It takes FOREVER to gain resources that disappear in an instant, and a 7 hour wait for the third level is far too long. I got to level 3 in about 2 hours and when I saw the waiting time I stopped playing for a while because I stopped caring. There isn’t enough information about exactly what’s going on statistics-wise so it constantly feels like the game is hiding crucial knowledge from me. Pretty much every mechanic here needs a ton of work.
