I was unsure of this app. I saw some of y’all saying this was a scam but I took a leap of faith. I recently obtained all cards that I redeemed. They’re in good condition and packaged very well. Yes this app is more of a gamble in the sense you don’t know if you’ll break even, go positive or lose some money. Regardless, I got lucky and won’t be returning to the app, unless I get some extra free money due to the fact that I have bad luck lol. It’s your choice to pay for that pack what you get isn’t on your side ultimately but it is fair in the sense you’re guaranteed to get something. I do know they do make some money though on the shipping costs. But think about it, how else would they make money on people like me if they were just giving thousands of dollars worth of cards away. $7 for shipping isn’t terrible but if you put multiple in the same redeem order you save some money. Anyways, good luck to you all and don’t lose all your money lol.
I made a stupid mistake by cancelling my card which made me lose the card without any compensation or card. I thought I just lost out on a $199 pack (psa 10 only pack) and it was a gold pikachu that was worth over $300. You can guess how mad I was and to be honest had no faith in getting the card or compensation. But tryna to get to the point I emailed and this great associate named Leah responded over the weekend and forwarded it to her team which within a day they gave me the option to ship the card or give me compensation. I immediately took my card and was really happy and really appreciated how fast they were and how they really didn’t just blow me under the rug. I deleted my other app (rips by triumpth) which honestly i used that more but then i hit a point where i got no hits so i jus moved and all this happened and this jus made me not wanna use any other platform. So I promised a good review because I really didn’t believe it would happen so I wanna repay in some way.
I’ve been using Courtyard for a few years now and largely the results have been positive, or, at least the self-custody and auditability of the contracts is something competitors either make little effort in promoting or is entirely a gimmick. However, this is an odd way to release the mobile version. I’m glad that the recognition that not everyone does everything on their iPhone (I don’t even have one, Mac/iPad/Android mutt here), but it’s almost unusable since the size of the screen is liliputian. and at release one cannot login through oauth on the Mac. Even stranger, the app is half-native and half-webview. Without warning some button would bring you into a browser window where auth needs to be done again. This makes little sense. The native half adds no new discernible features and feels like a PoC. I thought after Yearn we aren’t building in public anymore, especially since I suspect more users are not crypto-natives like me who switched to crypto as my primary currency in 2017 and have long waited for a crypto native way to engage in the hobby.
