My biggest issue with this game is creating games. Now, this is a console developing game, but making games is also a crucial mechanic in succeeding, and this part feels very limited due to one single factor. I have recently unlocked AAA+ games and I was looking forward to this because I thought I would be able to do a lot more than with the previous game types, such as AA and even the AAA games. I was sadly disappointed. You would think that with an AAA+ title, you could put a whole lot more into it, but you can’t. It’s basically just a larger file size, and the rest of the pieces, such as graphics, story, and sound scale accordingly. In a game like Red Dead 2, for example, there is a WHOLE LOT. The graphics, world-building, and story are very-well developed. But when creating an AAA+ game in this game, I still have to manage between graphics and story. The rest of the game, like the features and language localization comes last. I’d like the freedom to choose between how long and how much money I put into developing a game. Let me throw my money at developing this game, let me throw my time, and maybe as a balancing mechanic, the more time and money you spend on developing a game, the more critical the reviews and the harder it is to get a good score. That’s pretty real.
Great game that gets addicting fast. There’s a few reasons it isn’t five stars tho. Being able to pick a different starting year would be great and a lot of the pricing is kind of off. I have so much extra money and nothing to do with it but I’m always out of research points. I think making some things only cost money (console parts maybe) and either up the amount of research points we get or lower the cost of things that use research points. It would also be nice to have quick access to other games in a series when making sequels and beyond. Add these features and this game is easily a five stars and could potentially be one of my favorite games in general
I have always been a huge pioneer for this development team, ever since the first game that was published. I must admit, this game is good, but there is room for improvement, and I stand by it, I think it would be spectacular even but there’s things that need to be fixed before hand. Out of every game I’ve played it’s always been 5 stars, however this has the most potential but the greatest flaw. Research Points are terribly unbalanced, ever year nearly 10 different technologies arrive and advancements, if each costed 30 points which not all of them do and is the minimum amount to reach, then I have to accumulate so much more points then what is made. It’s over three hundred points for all the upgrades, but I make 150 in the year, which will most definitely be spent on the office upgrades just to make more points, however by that time the technology is outdated and the points I need nearly quadruple, it has come to a point that made playing feel more like a challenge or researching which should be passively gained as well as accumulated more by producing then anything then competing vs rivals, prices of points should be massively reduced, or the amount produced should be increased substantially to even qualify to stay in the time frame, making one console with three teams generates 80 points, half can be spent on sound and the rest on ram, even if I want to allocate to the games it could be spending more points in the games then the consoles, I feel it should be fixed in order for me to review again and have a more accurate opinion of a title from a development team I really appreciate, till then it’s a main concern.
