This game has so much potential, it really does. However, it is flawed in so many ways that I just had to stop playing it. First, let me start by saying that it is so repetitive. At first, making phones is fun, but eventually, you find yourself making them just to get the upgrade points. Being that is the only way you can get them, all I was doing was constantly making the same phones, just renamed to something different. It is incredibly hard to get the points, because you only get around 50 for each phone that you do, with the base upgrades costing 40 each, and increasing from there. I shouldnโt be in the trillions of dollars and have already made 70+ phones before I even have every upgrade unlocked. Also, there are so many bugs that it is ridiculous. If you get this game, you will definitely have fun for a couple of hours, but eventually, it just gets stale. Another thing with this game is the critics. There is no consistency in the way that they rate your phones; it is all random. I tested this by making the best phone that I could at the time, and selling it for as cheap as possible, and I got terrible reviews, but when I made a terrible phone for the most expensive price, it got great reviews. It doesnโt matter what you put in the phone, you can still get terrible reviews. One last problem that I have with this game is the fact that it is so hard to keep fans. You lose so many fans so quickly that it is hard to keep them. The only way that you can get fans is by making phones, so in order to keep them, you have to constantly make phones back to back.
This is such an impressive game! I like the unique premise of it and the way it is setup. Let me split this into Pros and Cons. First of all, Pros. Like i said before the uniqueness of having your own smartphone company is great. The game goes in depth into certain details and development that blew my expectations. Next is how clean the game looks. The game screen isnโt cluttered with different buttons or messages or anything like that. Also the game keeps it simple despite the many different aspects to it. It isnโt confusing at all to me. Now the cons, they arenโt too bad. The first thing is the large amount of ads. Theyโre full screen ads that pop up more than frequently. Sometimes they freeze the game and other times they may have no X button. But a simple force close and reopen will do fine. Next (this is probably my biggest problem) is that the game doesnโt run in the background. The game only progresses when you are in the game so that is a bit frustrating to me. Another thing are the bugs. Sometimes a button wonโt work when i click it or a certain feature wonโt work. Overall this is a great game that I have been enjoying since i downloaded it. I would definitely recommend it. I canโt wait see what comes next
The biggest issues Iโm having come from menu usage, the rating system and research points. When it comes to the menus, theyโre overall just not pleasant to use, more times than not Iโll tap the screen and it randomly brings up another menu, like the rival companies or employees without me having to actually select them. The rating system doesnโt work well because I donโt know how to improve myself, you need to implement a way to show what works best and what doesnโt, what combination of items yield the best results without having to use so much trial and error, I found myself creating something Iโd think was no different than my last phone and getting 10โs, yet when I added on tons of new features and thought everyone would love it, Iโd get 4โs and 5โs, I have no idea what I did wrong. Finally research points, you earn them far to slowly, I gather around 80 or so per phone, but it barely increases as time passes, so Iโm left with research needing so many more points than I can receive, itโs just too much grinding for what itโs worth and just hinders the players ability to make a good phone, basically itโs just too imbalanced. One small thing on the side is Bugs when developing a phone, they serve no purpose so you might as well take them out. Overall I like the game and the concept, clearly inspired from Game Dev Tycoon, which is a game I love, so I like the idea of applying similar mechanics to different devices, with some fine tuning, this could be a very solid game.
