Firstly the fact that the app keeps logging you out or asking you to login in for everything that you do is annoying. If I’ve logged in, I want to stay logged in. Then when you look at the Coles magazine, there are no links to recipes to make it easier for users. You have to sift through the whole magazine and then go to the web and search for that recipe which will then allow you to link ingredients to your shopping list. On top of that, the recipes and inspirations doesn’t have a “search” option so you can browse around to see if the magazine recipes are available. You have to choose ingredients you want to shop for or choose a dinner option to look around for. I don’t want to be told what to look at. That whole section of the app (recipes and magazines) doesn’t seem to be connected at all. Additionally, if I want to save recipes, how am I supposed to do that? Downloading recipes is inconvenient (and doesn’t work most of the time). There should be a “liked” or “saved” or “favourite” section where you can find individual recipes you like which then link to shopping lists. It’s not very user friendly or very personalised in this regard. C’mon guys, basic stuff. What’s the point of having a magazine with ideas if you don’t have ease of access online?

Coles has the best online shopping, it’s user friendly. I log in on my phone internet (not through the app) and it has the category of my prior purchases, so I can scroll my regular purchases to remind me of anything I may need. You can even remove a product from your list if you don’t want to purchase it again. You can also go back to past orders too. Coles also shows the price of vegetables and fruit based on the weight, which tells you how much You’re actually getting, other supermarkets tell you how many eg apples you’ll get, but you won’t know if they are small or large, so you don’t know if it’s good value. So thrilled with Coles Delivery driver Jim from Epping is also very helpful and professional.

I’d been using the browser coles online shopping and quite happy with it when a invite to the app came up.. it was useless, couldn’t find any if my bought before items on app and then when you wanted to check out it transfered me to online shopping anyway… so what’s the point of that.. so I deleted it and continued with browser online shopping.. Last week a friend was raving about the Woolies app so I decided id take another look at the comes one as No Woolies in our immediate locality.. looks like some improvements have been made including I found a “bought before “ area however I couldn’t work out the difference between “bought before, lists and trolley, except I could see on the app what id just ordered on browser online.. worse still I googled to find some instructions on how to use the app but could only find browser online instructions.. so I still won’t be using it again… and if i had a Woolies in my locality i would be shopping there anyway… our coles is a dinky comes (a small one) and I have to go to the local independent’s every week to get things coles isn’t stocking.. so coles you need an overhaul on the app at least and probably on some stores… the next closest coles is way way better than ours..
