The game is amazing. Iโve played through around 600 of the campaign levels. They become a bit repetitive- some just flat out easy- but the 1v1 and campaign modes really keep me engaged. Iโve never really played the battle royale mode but Iโm sure I will at some point and the daily classic is a fun way to start the day. That being said, a few minor fixes would go a long way. First and most importantly, the 1v1 mode does not have an inactivity timeout. This allows whoever you are playing to essentially out wait you to get a free win. Sometimes, opponents who are bound to lose wait tens of minutes or flat out leave the app and the game does nothing to punish / remedy. Fixing this would be amazing. Second of all, the physics with the wedge can be spotty at times making bounces extremely unpredictable. If this is intentional then it is what it is. Honestly it forces creative drives rather than chips. But, sometimes when a driver is incapable, a dead stop chip for no reason can really throw a wrench in strategy. Third, diversity in levels. Honestly this isnโt too pressing because the comp modes keep things competitive and the skill ceiling is very hight but it wouldnโt hurt. All in all amazing game. I would recommend it to everyone.
Iโve been looking for a golf game like this for a while. A simple arcade like game to share with friends that doesnโt take forever to play. Aside from a couple glitches where the ball will stop out of nowhere while rolling, almost like it hit a bump, there isnโt much I would change about this game. I love the added friends section! I think it would be cool to show the friends first attempt and their best attempt for that particular day. That would help with the not so honest friends who mysteriously get consistent hole in ones! As for the back half of my title, people complain too much, Iโm talking to the people complaining about shot variability. Yeah it can be wild sometimes but thatโs golf. After playing one hole, you learn to take more conservative shots. I still consistently get in the top 10% while taking those less risky shots. All it takes is a little more thought into what order to play the holes and realizing that your ball will land anywhere within the white circle at the end of your shot trajectory. The further the shot, the higher the chance is of it being wild. If youโre looking for a golf game that you can control every single aspect of what the ball does, this might not be the game for you. If youโre looking for a quick golf game to play with your friends, this is definitely it.
This game is great and I love how itโs a new course everyday. The only thing I would change would be the ability to replay a course over and over. There have been plenty of times where Iโll play a course, send my score to my friends, then somehow by some miracle the same friend keeps getting โluckyโ hole in 1โs in every hole and they end up in the top 1%. Once in awhile is lucky, but everytime? Iโm not sure. I think only your first score should count (unless you want to watch an ad for a 2nd attempt) however, if you are someone who just keeps resetting the app everytime you donโt get a score you like, I feel like there should be an indicator in that persons scorecard that it is not a legitimate attempt. Maybe if they attempt a course more than twice they donโt get the โtop ___%โ icon at the end of their score? Not sure, but just a suggestion! Other than that one minor issue this game is fantastic and my family loves playing and sending our scores to eachother. 10/10.
Love the concept and got a fair number of people playing. Downloaded the newest version with more accuracy (miss the cozy coffee cup icon), doesnโt fix the problems. I dont mind thereโs some drift in the shot -IF- I get to have a sense of how. Wind direction flags in other golf games at least inform me how itโll drift, so I have a chance of compensating, instead of it being a complete and arbitrary surprise each shot. I cant adjust my shot to get more accurate each time. Not fun to be not informed. // This pairs poorly with extreme bounce in your only long distance shot having tremendous bounce on tiny platforms and islands. Other golf games have a topspin/backspin to control bounce, if the goal is to make you land on a smaller/more accurate platform. Everyone ive shared it with complains about endless water shots resetting your position, with little to be done about it. // Give us some sense of how the ball will drift so we have a chance to adjust and plan our shot, and give us a way to control the bounce distance if the intention is to have lots of small platforms but only 3 clubs. Iโd have no real complaints after that. Golf is fun for precision and planning, and the -unpredictable- drift and limited bounce control take away from that. Everyone ive shared it with voiced the same problems with it - wanting to get better at controlling their shot but having no ability to improve.
