I’ve just started using this for a few months and while it’s fin while it works, it’s as janky as any other low budget app designed with little user experience in mind. The card machines are a scam, they’ll take your $5 and never be in service so you can’t use them. The app glitches constantly and does not link with any payment apps requiring you to always have a physical card (this becomes a problem when you’re physically in a laundry room trying to start your machine and the app decides it’s time to re-verify your payment). Do not recommend until they get serious and actually consider the user in their design, re-entry requirements, and payment options. Hopefully their security is better than the rest but highly unlikely so make sure you use a card you can replace if needed because they don’t allow more secure payment methods.
App says 0 machines are available in my laundry room even when all are available. That function is just straight up broken. I’m annoyed that I have this app but can’t pay with Apple Pay and can’t reload my laundry card with Apple Pay. App does not support Apple Pay and neither do the laundry machines in my building EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE A TAP TO PAY READER ON THEM. The machines ONLY read FMB laundry cards with their NFC reader. The only semi-useful thing in this app is seeing how much time is left on the machine you paid on. If you have trouble remembering what machine you put your laundry in, then it’s helpful. What does putting my laundry card number in the app do? It appears to do nothing. I can’t see the balance nor reload. The app and the laundry card are 2 completely separate balances that i have to reload separately. What does sub account do? Why is there no information explaining how this works? No explanations about what Adding a Sub Account does. Nothing in the FAQ. Is it for family members or what? Is this a guessing game? Why did you ask for my email address but then you don’t use it to create an account? I set no password, and didn’t even receive email confirmation that I have an account. So you took my personal information for no reason. And I’m supposed to trust STORING MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER in an app with no password on it? What if I get logged out, how do i log back in so my money isn’t lost? It’s annoying that the world is moving everything to smart phone apps and then you have companies like this that get away with terrible apps.
Hated the fact that I even have to use an onsight washer and dryer but this app made it so freaking easy I don’t even dislike it anymore. 10/10. I don’t have to sit and wait for my clothes to finish. It tells me, amazing. The only thing I would say it needs to fix is the lag of time sometimes when you go check there’s still a few minutes left on the machine. Also with the dryer I wish you had more leeway to put less time. The extra 5 minutes is helpful for .25 cents but what about when you complete and then it’s still not dry? That’s a whole nother $2.00 other than that it’s great! I wish I would have thought of it lol.
