After 3 weeks Iโm tighter but not what was promised (not that I expected THAT! Iโm not a fool) I feel a lot better physically and am really enjoying it. Iโve commented a couple of times after sessions that there are too many โankle circlesโ (in and out) which I find to be a waste and consider to be filler in the 20 minute sessions. Also, if you donโt have a chair of very similar proportions to the one in the videos, some of the exercises will be awkward and/or difficult, I.e. sitting lunges. That being said, go for it. Itโs a great way to start getting back into shape and as soon as I get the all clear from my PCP Iโm going to slowly add in that aerobic exercise I need to take off the 20lbs Iโve inexplicably put on in the last couple of years, as well as some weight training for more strengthening. But I will continue my chair yoga. Itโs a nice start to my day.
For the first month, Iโm going to try the free section to see if the exercises throughout the month stand the test of my needs. This is my first day and I am very happy with both the pacing and the intensity of the exercise exercises. Two years ago I had surgery with some complications and iโm just now getting to the place where I can begin to try to exercise on my own. I feel like I definitely need more stretches and something simple. This seems to work well. As the days go on, I will know more. I do recommend you giving this a try. It canโt hurt since they do have a free section. If this works, I know I will want to do it daily and have more variety and then I will get a subscription. I like the idea that they allow me the free sessions to try this out.
I just completed my 1st exercise and am in love. FINALLY found a reasonable exercise program that I can do in my small crowded space. And I feel it. While it seems the impact may be too little while sitting in a chair, I felt it and feel like I did work out. It was gentle yet powerful. Now for what I think will make it close to perfect. 1) I first downloaded it to phone and set up my program. Small screen. I want to send via AirPlay to my TV for better viewing. No can do. Would love that capability as us even the youngest seniors of us have vision challengesโeven with glasses on a small screen. 2) as a result, I downloaded the app to my iPad for better viewing. But there was no option to log in using the same account so that I could use the app on my device of choice. The app only allowed me to set up another profile and start with a new account. 3) There seems to be a bug with the voice and video syncing with the timer. โ15 seconds leftโ was given at the 10-12 seconds point. (Yes, it varied.) Sometimes the video started showing the next exercise with 3-5 seconds left before โrestโ transition. I didnโt always get the three beeps and a ding at the end of an exercise. Hopefully this can be resolved because I am not usually staring at the screen throughout the exercise. These issues arenโt deal breakers. But if resolved would bring my review to 5 stars. Oh, and the ability to sync with an appleTV app would just put me over the moon.
