I’ve been banking with CEFCU for a while now, and I couldn’t be happier with their service. Every interaction, whether online, by phone, or in person has been fast, professional, and genuinely friendly. The staff always go above and beyond to make things easy, and I’ve never had an issue that wasn’t handled quickly and with care. Their online app is simple to use, and their rates are extremely competitive. It feels great to bank somewhere that values its members and operates with integrity. Highly recommend CEFCU to anyone looking for a dependable and community focused financial institution!
Lacks quick one click features found in the basic of apps today. While impressive content, it lacks string interest development. For example, I check my used car balance regularly and never once did I get notified that rates are up or down, offers of referral gifts (my daughter was declined a used car loan over your lack breath of working with internet car business Slide, so she was told - so I paid off my loan in a month and am moving on), or and insurance options or affiliations. Privacy guidelines must be maintained, but Marcus, Ally and Capital One is eating up your hard earned saver and borrowers with interest. Before you dismiss this as soar grapes -I love you guys and you have been fantastic in so many ways (note I am on the Board of Family Community Church in SJ and a large church borrower). We have great history so please invest in online presence and those innovations others are talking about for the 25 to 50 year old group. God Bless
On the mobile app, my account pretty regularly shows pending transactions for multiple days, even though they are listed further down the list as having been posted. But sometimes, the pending are truly pending, though this rare. Even further, sometimes the balance = all the posted and all the pending (except for the ones that are posted AND pending), but sometimes it doesn’t. And regularly - pending items that should show up on the list - major companies, middle of a business day, etc... won’t for multiple days. Even though someone somewhere or some process somewhere had to acknowledge that my card was swiped for the machine to determine that it was “approved.” I’ve noticed this being the reality since COVID shutdowns so I don’t know if somewhere is understaffed, or if I just have a glitch in my app, but I am running the current version. I know that this could probably all be solved if I kept a ledger, but where’s the digital / mobile / no fuss convenience in that? Additionally, I try to take advantage of the budget tools and at times store names are just their address which I’m sure is just how it is, but luckily they can be changed to whatever the place is called or whatever you want. However; this frequently auto changes. Not only does it change the name of the place to something else I’ve manually input before, but it also changes the category of that item. Leaving me to hope that the place name is in the description - otherwise I have to try to remember where I was at that transaction time, have a general idea of street addresses, or look it up to correct it.
