Carl's Jr. Mobile Ordering

There’s amazing service by Brody forehand such a great great guy. You know he’s a great person in general. You know an amazing person actually just like the service is wonderful honestly and he’s just the best best person I’ve ever met in my life. You don’t like he really really hooked me up you know Man like I came in. You were hungry. You know place a little order you know what I’m saying and you know you’re really, really such a good job you know with a drink in the fries and you know. It really really makes me happy you know you’re such great people in this world still, you know honestly just amazing service. Amazing people amazing food you know amazing drinks as well and you know that restaurant is clean. So clean you know it’s amazing you know absolutely wonderful 10 out of 10 would recommend actually you know 1 million out of 10 you know just a great place great environment people anyway that’s all I had to say. I really recommend this place couldn’t recommend it anymore, right?

The food from Carl’s Jr is amazing. I even got a discount for using their app for my first order. Problem I had… I arrived to the restaurant to pick up my order and it was ten mins past the pick up time. It wasn’t ready they said, then they said they had no proof of my order. A co worker in the back yelled we have no more fries to cook. The woman at the cash register ignored me after saying they didn’t gave my order… when I was trying to show her the proof of my order on the app along with my receipt. I waited 30 mins past pick up time. Only to have the exact same woman at the cash register say oh your chicken strips have been sorting here the whole time.. without my drink and fries and dip. The woman at the cash register say’s what size drink and fries do you need. I said get the size I paid for. We have no proof of your order she replies again. She goes on to hand me my order and tells me I can’t touch it afterwards cause she needs to put tape on it… I said why and ok. She goes on to say you can’t look inside your bag for the door dash order. I’m like no like I’ve said repetitively I didn’t order via door dash… I order on the Carl’s Jr app. She said we don’t take orders on the app. She gave me what I ordered after 45 min wait. She gave me the wrong size drink and wrong size fries, no dip. And my chicken was sitting ready to go into a bag for 45 mins. This was the worst service I’ve ever had. At the Carl’s Jr in Lacey Washington!

I get a "coupon pack" in the mail every month and after checking them all out, I trash the ones about putting energy efficient windows on my dog house or sale prices on Rogaine for bald spots on my lawn. I keep the ones I might use, and the latest coupons from Carl's were enticing. Like other reviewers, I have always had delays at the local store's drive through and patronize them accordingly - about once every 5 years. So I downloaded the app in an attempt to minimize the issue as much as possible. It may be because I'm not running iOS 69(!) on an Apple 42 (!) but it took me about 5 minutes of frustration before I deleted it. I found it to be intermittently unresponsive & not user-friendly. (See other reviews regarding actually placing an order). Plus, if Carl's is using one of those stupid "batch order" placing systems, they need to do something else - I've been a victim of "We just received your order because they come through in batches", and that, in itself, is a recipe for destroying the attraction of online ordering. I really like the concept of being able to order and pay online - it can be quick and efficient for both parties. Carl's is NOT alone in their inability to produce a truly great online ordering site - it is the norm for this modern trend. The developers need to study the online apps (they) we use everyday to learn how to make an app that "checks all the boxes": Easy to navigate; Hyper-accurate menu; Quick to order; etc. Must have an immediate confirmation and summary of the order, including the store location.
