CamAPS FX (mmol/L)

Switched from TSlim to this. The TSlim was poor, the algorithm on this is far better, stops hypos quicker and responds better to highs. You do need to tell it when you exercise or take hypo snacks but I find my glucose levels much more stable. The problem is the connectivity and the alerts. I’ve lost confidence. The alerts are sporadic and you need to have your volume on despite supposedly being able to get critical Low alerts on silent - doesn’t work. Can’t run dexcom side by side with this either so no more watch results. Had G6 which constantly lost contact even side by side. Connection is rubbish. Roll over at night and that’s it disconnected. Now I’ve switched to G7 but no means of calibrating through the Camaps Fx app, and connectivity still as bad except not I get a load of falling glucose alerts but the graph never changes. Doing my head in.

I have recently switched to this system and was previously on Libre3+ now Dexcom and I have never had so many connection issues with a CGM. My sister also uses Dexcom and although the readings for me personally are better from Dexcom the CLS connection is awful. Read some of the other comments and agree with a lot, no delivery of insulin due to connection and your pump and phone are sat beside each other. Signal dripping out of auto mode constantly. This app is supposed to make out lives easier however I spend most of my day ensuring it’s connected and turning my phone on and off. God forbid you are using Bluetooth headphones at the same time because that adds another 20 mins of disconnection. Prefer the pump to injections grow ever I am still awaiting the ease ypsomed promised. Currently would not recommend this pump system to others.

The positives first: a good app with easy to use features. Clear display and plenty to like. However… The app suffers from a failure to communicate effectively with Apple devices in that it cannot write to Apple health, if using a Libre sensor the app will not communicate with any of the Libre apps to share data that way, and most ridiculously there is no Apple Watch app so live BG cannot be accessed except by getting your phone out which in some jobs (like mine) is not an option (when looking at your watch is completely fine). Essentially this app suffers from its own serious health issue which is this lack of basic connectivity which really should be easy to fix by now… other companies have managed it without difficulty! Having type 1 Diabetes is not a choice, but failing to add basic connectivity features is a choice. Please make good choices and fix this!
